Animals aren't as active after they have been spayed/neutered. My cat became less active after we had this done to him.

How long ago was she spayed? If it has been a while, I would say she may be depressed. Have there been any environmental changes or anything that would disturb her normal routine? If so, it may just be that she is trying to adjust to these changes. Just keep an eye on her and make sure she is not sick. If it has been a short time since she was spayed, she may have an infection.

I can’t figure out the question, but many cats have a change of personality when they get spayed or neutered. Their hormones are different and this affects their mood. Most end up becoming more complacent and easygoing. Try tempting her with some string or a feather. Play with her regularly and she may perk up.

If it was recently, then your cat might have been still trying to adapt to the changes, although, is it was a long time ago and your cat is still acting up, then your cat could be depressed, and could be the reason for it sleeping so much. To get your cat out of this depressed mood, you could get a cat the same gender so your cat will have some company.

I got two of my kitties spaded and one neutered. The two female kitties settled down alot and is more lazy now after being spaded. I think the reason why they settled down more is because their mind has rested from the thought of mating. But i think one of my female kitties has been in heat(makin the noise) but thats normal too. But usually whencats get spaded they need more attention from their owners and will be more likely to stay in your lap for a longer period of time than b4.
My male kitty is still as active as every, he bites my feet all the time and plays rough but he is still a little one unlike my other two kitties. Haha, i hope this helps! :)

animals tend to calm down for a while or permanately after they are fixed...my cat didnt start getting rowdy again for a coupl of months after she was spayed.. i guess she was letting her wounds heal
just watch her.. if a lump developes under her stitches it may be an infection .. take her to the vet..

You're about to find out how lazy cats really are. I think mine sleep at least 22 hours a day.

THEY DO THIS RIGHT AFTER THEY ARE SPAYED, AND IT TENDS TO MAKE THEM A LITTLE LESS ACTIVE DURING THE DAY. PLAY WITH HER AND GET SOME TOYS ON A STICK FOR HER.
