My African grey parrot just started digging and tossing her food around about a month ago and no matter what we feed her she does it. Watching her it is like she is digging or nesting? Any suggestions?

I stopped by the pet store looking or a 5 and a half gallon tank for my betta. While I was there I also wanted to get a ghost shrimp to act as a scavenger. Instead, the salesman told me a little red claw crab will have a better chance of surviving. So I got one. So far the two are living happily together, the betta spends most of the time above and the crab, when not climbing on the artificial plants, will hang around on the bottom.
My questions are:
-is it true that red claw crab actually like a bit of salt in the aquarium? If yes, what would be the best compromise, as I do not want it to negatively affect the betta
-if I don't think he is getting enough food from scavenging, can I drop maybe a pea in there? What food pellets would you recommend?
-does he absolutely need something to climb onto and hang on the surface?
Here is a picture of my set-up.

I just got a 6 week pitbull puppy a few days ago. she is so sweet, we named her Cali. (she is for my hubby)

Well i have a yorkie and i have always fed her purina puppy chow. I bought some purina puppy food for the pitbull but my hubby says no way! says that someone told him that the puppy food needs to have lamb and rice in it and the best to buy is a brand called Ol'Ray or something? is this true? what do you feed your pit?

Also, does anyone have a pitbull and a small dog in thier house? do they get along? i am scared that our pit will eventually hurt my 6lbs yorkie. they get along now, but my pit will eventually be about 80 lbs?

They take turns hitting at each other until one of them dies. I have had these fish for over a year, and they`ve always loved being around each other before.

We have two cats, one is 1 almost two and the other is 7 months, they get really picky when their litter is almost ready to change, and that's when they pee on our dirty clothes in our closet. I've made sure to keep their litter clean, but it's getting rediculous... if anyone has any tips, please let me know... that would really help me

I have an Arrowhead Crab (Arrow Crab) in a saltwater fish tank.

His bottom sometimes "opens up" like a very small clamshell on a hinge. The little flap that opens is perhaps 1/8 inch in diameter.

The crab puts his pincer claws in there as if picking out food (or doing something)

Any idea what part of the crab's anatomy I am looking at or what is going on? I am guessing maybe this is an egg sac or maybe preparation for molting, but this has been going on for several days?

She's 11 years old and this hasn't really been a problem before. She's had the same tray in the same place for 3 years. Haven't changed the litter brand. Gave it a really good cleaning and all the area around it over Christmas but didn't help. Discouraged her from one area with 'get off' spray but now she's started somewhere else. She is a house cat and doesn't go outside apart from rarely in the garden. We have another female cat and they have been together for 10 years and never had a problem sharing the tray. More recently she has started weeing on carpet now too. We have 3 young children and the hygiene issue is starting to worry me as well.

My 10-month old beagle mix female dog has a habit of walking... yes, walking on top of the chicken wire fence. Multiple times per day, I can look out the window and there she is, walking or standing on top of the sagging, yet upright, 4 1/2 foot chicken wire fence looking around at things and people down the alley. I may be wrong but I find this to be a very exceptional skill. No, I am not loosing my sanity. I have pics to prove it. Should I pursue a circus or acting career for her? By the way, her name is Sissy, so keep an eye out for her name on the next pet flick you watch! What do you think?

Quartarrah was just diagnosed yesterday after a routine blood test. They said her kidneys are only working a third of what they should be. They sent me home with a 10-day antibiotic and new K/D food.

I was thinking perhaps a feline detox may help (any recipies?) and are there herbal remedies that could reverse this?

I love my cat, and want to give her the best chance possible to survive this longer than the few months the vet said she'd last.

She's 14 years old and has been with me for 13 of them. She's a very feisty calico and has endured much in her life. I know that if there is something out there that could help her, it would work, because she's a fighter.

If anyone has a similar story, please share!
