My labradoodle always runs over and eats my Shitzu poodles food and she wont stop doing it. Also, my Labradoodle either goes up to my Shitzu poodle's face and nips at it or slaps her with her paw trying to play and then falls on the ground and lets the Shitzu poodle start attacking it. They do this all the time and when tha Labradoodle falls on the ground and the Shitzu poodle is attacking it, the Labradoodle wags her tail like she is having fun.

The Labradoodle is always trying to play and is very hyper, while the Shitzu poodle is very calm, grumpy, and most of the time doesnt like to play with people or my Labradoodle. What should I do to either make my Shitzu poodle want to play with people and the Labradoodle or make them stop fighting.

A big problem about the food though is I put the food down at the same time but the shitzu poodle never wants to eat at that time and she rarely ever wants to eat (I dont know why) so then the labradoodle just goes and eats her food.

Also with that zapper thing, if I zap my labradoodle when she nips or claws my Shitzu poodle, will she then become unplayful like my Shitzu poodle, which I dont want.

If you feed them at the same time, you should put their food down at the same time and far apart. If your labradoodle tries to eat your shitzu poodle's food, keep it away or take it to a different room. If you feed them at separate times, separate them.

As time goes on, your shitzu poodle will show your labradoodle that it doesn't want to play by possibly snapping. If this happens, don't worry - it's probably just warning your labradoodle to back off. Or, in time, your shitzu poodle will play with your labradoodle. Things usually work themselves out as long as you go about it the right way. Good luck!

They obviously have different personalities and changing animal's personalities is harder then humans, cuz you cant exactly verbally work out problems with them. I would suggest feeding them in separate rooms or rewarding bad behavior with a punishment. I use a water spritzer on my cats when they jump on tables and it’s worked pretty well. Perhaps it would work with your little dogs. Unless they like getting wet, lol, then it might not work so well. And rewarding good behaviors in a dog can be much more important then with a cat. I honestly believe being left alone is considered a reward by my cats, but a playful dog would see getting a treat or a scratch as the best thing ever. They thrive on attention. I might also suggest making sure the shitzu has its nails clipped regularly. It wouldn't be good if it scratched the labradoodle too bad. You might want to separate them, if the fighting gets really bad. It’s sad, but it might be in the best interests of the dogs.

It sounds like they're playing, not fighting. In any event, feed them twice a day, at the same time, and keep their food bowls far apart. Correct your doodle when she heads to the shitzu's food, just don't allow it. Your shitzu should be able to eat in peace every day. At 9 years old, she's earned it, and your doodle needs to learn manners and respect. If you haven't already, your doodle is old enough to begin basic training. Remember to exercise her every day to keep her negative energy under control.

I'll probably get some thumbs-down for this, but you'd be amazed what a remote control shock collar can do when it comes to training your dog.. every time the dog tries to steal food, nip the other dog, etc just give it a little zap.. they make them where you can adjust the intensity so you don't have to give it a powerful zap, just enough to make it stop the behavior..

your shitzu was an only child until you got the puppy

think of it that way. she is a teen stuck with a little child to play with and is not interested in that type of play
