Even though you can do a really good job of drying them off with 2-3 towels, they like to roll around to let you know how good they feel, just like the German Shepard in the old movie K-9, he rolled int the grass after getting a quicky with a standard poodle.

To dry and get a smell back. Dogs will roll in a dead animal just to get the smell it's a thing that goes back to the wolf and when they had to hunt for themselves

They are excited from the experience that just happened and are trying to get back their normal scent but rubbing and rolling everywhere. They aren't much for the pretty smell.
My dogs are wild and I cant catch them if I wanted to. They run back and forth and sommersault and roll and anything you can think. I love to watch them!

They don't like to smell nice so they will roll on the floor to get the scent of shampoo off.
