How many of you out there think that cats are a pest - pooing in your garden, digging up your plants etc.? I think there should be a law against cat owners if they do their business in your garden. The owners should be held responsible. Don't you agree?

I'm at my wits end with my 2 neutered female pit bulls. Suddenly, the younger (age 1 and a half) one attacks the older (age 3) one for no reason and a vicious fight ensues. I've tried everything - muzzling, more exercise, recognizing the dominance of the younger dog, asking for advice. The bottom line seems to be "crate and rotate", which is what I have been doing, but I really dislike it even besides the inconvenience. I have an electric fence on my property and that works like magic. My dogs will NOT cross their boundaries even IF they aren't wearing their collars because they've been conditioned to know that if they do, they will get a shock. I'm wondering if I'd have such sucess with remote training collars for the fighting problem. Two collars would cost about $300 to $400, so I'd sure like to hear from others who may have had real-life experience with this issue, especially with this breed, before I put out that much money for nothing.

I believe all animals should have a first and middle name, so I have decided to go with Pita as her first name. What do you think sounds good as a middle name. Again, she is grey and white, mews alot, and is always underfoot. She is soooo cute though...and pretty funny chasing my ankles when I am in the kitchen doing dishes, cooking, etc. She likes to attack my feet/ankles and play with me if I am standing up....she even chases me across the room.....very playful, and very cute!!

I found some free kittens in the paper and they are ADORABLE! But the problem is, they mew too much and I don't have time to take care of all these kittens. I have a 9 ft. boa constrictor as well and he is really friendly. I tried to let one of the kittens play with him and I think he was stolen because he is not in his cage anymore. Anyway, would it be ok to put 5 kittens in with the snake? I am worried they will get stolen or run away like the first one. What should I do with these kittens?

When I got her she had bad diarrea 4-5 times a day. I started feeding her plain chicken breast and rice 2 times a day. I also leave out a high quality kibble for her to eat in between meals. I give her a multi vitamin. She is so much better she goes poop now 2 times a day no more diahrrea. I don't like the smell or idea of canned dog food. Do you think w/ the chicken, rice & vitamin she is getting enough nourishment??

A friend of mine recently told me that her cat died after it got into the trash and ate coffee grounds, it makes me wonder what other household items we don't even think of are harmful to our pets?

Lol, besides the fact that they make frogs and not chickens, what is the difference between frog eggs and chicken eggs?

Okay, here's the story, i just got an Iguana on Wednesday and, well someone left it at PetsMart and PetsMart didn't know how to take care of it or they didn't have space enough for it. So they let a friends of our have it and she gave it to us for free. So now we have a 3 foot to 4 foot long Iguana in our home. She is very sweet and loves attention. I know now that she needs to be handled everyday or she will be mean. i have another question for you all how are you suppose to hold a Iguana? because last night i got her out of her box and played with her in the floor and she tried to get away so i picked her up by her stomach area she started kicking and scratching me (it now looks like i slit my wrist) and I'm afraid if i hold her tail, she will let it fall off like lizards do if they get caught be prey. At the moment she it and a plastic container because we don't have cage for her. And one last question, would it be OK to put her in a bird cage to live in? would it be safe enough?

My wife and I got a cat about a year ago from the city shelter. The shelter estimated that she is about 3 years old. I'm not a cat person, but I love our cat.

But occassionally, our cat will become very insistent (meowing, crying) until one of us follows her into the kitchen. Then once we're there, she'll start to eat. She doesn't do this all the time, but I haven't been able to figure out a pattern. I know I don't know much about cat behavior (I'm more of a dog person), but my wife who has grown up with cats is mystified by the behavior as well.

Anyone got any ideas? Thanks.

This morning I driving to my house and accidently squished a mother cat. I was distracted by my little nephew because he kept throwing his baby bottle at me. I noticed the cat had 3 kittens. Do you think I should go and find them? I don't want to feel too guilty.

Whenever he can reach, my kitten wants to lick my nose, eyes and, lately, my lips. If I close my eyes he won't lick there, but he follows my nose when I move it away (and looks hurt at the same time). he especially want to so it in the morning and at night when we're trying to go to sleep.
Is he after the scent? Does he love me? Is he just strange?
My other kitten (both male) doesn't do it unless he's feeling REALLY affectionate - which isn't often.

No silly answers please.

Does anyone know what the differences is between the American Kennel Club, the American Canine Club and the Candian Kennel Club? Is there different regulations? Is one better than the other?

Our existing cat is 15 years old, has always had a dog around her - children have also come along (4) over the last eight years and she has always adapted to changes well. Two months ago we returned home from holiday to find a 6-8 month old cat, hungry and scared living in our wood pile. Had no luck finding her owners and decided to allow her to stay. She is in good health, great fun with the children and no problem except that our cat will not accept her. We are trying to keep them separate to avoid fights and upsets, our original cat has already had a bite turn nasty and required a trip to the vet. We love them both now and do not wish either to go/be unhappy, does anyone have experience of getting cats to live peacefully together, are there tips and strategies we could employ? Thank you for your considerations
