My 7 month old puppy has a fever. I know that the norm is 101-103 degrees. She has been sick lately, she has just finished her 2rounds of anitbiotics given from the vet. I just hate to call him up if there is something that I can do here at home to reduce the fever. It's not that high, but yet she has not been herself and and she is very very weak. I am open to suggestions!

i found an egg in the woods, except it has already been open. Whatever it is has already hatched. It is 2 1/2 inches long, by 1 7/8 inches wide. It looks to me like a great horned, or a barred owl egg, but i really don't know. It is slightly elliptical, and i don't think it is a chicken egg, because my egg is more elliptical. I really don't know what it is, and it is slightly rough to touch, and it is pure white. It is kind of old, wich made the color a little yellow. It is still pure white, it just got a small hint of yellow? it will remain a mystery??????

Here we go, I purchased a 29 gallon tank, set it up with black moors, and goldfish with the fantails......Also, purchased a algae eater & a mystery gold snail as well...Do I have too worry about my snail in any type of danger with the rest of his family members? I also purchased shrimp pellets for him, would that be correct ? How often should I changed the water in the tank? "freshwater tank" by the way. Will the algae eater / gold fish become agressive toward him....Since he's so helpless?

I have an idea to get my dog to stop chasing my cat. They are both boys and my dog, Rocky, put our cat, Radar, in the hospital. (He turned out to be okay, just a little freaked out and shocked.) I'm thinking that if I get a girl kitten, he can get used to it and eventually accept my kitty. What do you think?

My family got a new hamster a couple days ago. He's having trouble warming up to us, and often spends his time sleeping and when we try to pet him he squeels and runs. The problem is, today he is letting us pet him while he sleeps. He is also cold, and does not respond to anything. He is not dead, for if I poke him or try and turn him over he'll readjust to his previous position. a few hours ago I tried picking him up and he started shaking really hard. Like to the point of falling over. I'm really worried that something is wrong. Any suggestions? I think he is just cold, but I'm not sure how to help him anyways. Help!

First of all, let me make it clear that I am not looking to train my dog to attack random people. I'm a homeowner, and quite frankly, don't want to get sued. However, I do live in a *very* remote area off the interstate in southwest Florida. We have a lot of homeless people that wander down here and take up residence in the woods near our homes, most of whom are sexual predators.

Anyways, I have a female German Shepherd that is 7 months old. She has an average prey drive, and I'd like to get her to attack on command. I've already had her trained to secure the property (she runs around the yard sounding an alert bark). I just need to know if there are any trainers out there that could point me in the right direction. Thanks!

Ok so since having my 20 gallon tank i have had 5 goldfish die on me. I am getting very frustrated because I really want to have tropical fish someday but the people at the pet store told me i need to have gold fish first to get the bacteria going in the tank, well my goldfish can even survive. i found out I had a dangerous amount of ammonia in my tank, so i cleaned me tank completly again and added water de-chlorinater and also a bacteria supplement...should i buy some new gold fish again? The water has been filtering for around 4 days now

My 15 year old cat has recently been diagnosed with Hyperthyroidism so she is peeing A LOT more that usual. We switched the type of litter in her box to a more absorbent paper pellet (my mind is drawing a blank, did I spell that right?) and she started peeing outside the box. We changed the mix to half clumping litter and half paper pellet so it would be more like old times. She then decided to pee in the living room. We moved her litter box to the living room and showed her its location. She now pees all over the living room even though her litter box is just as accessible as always and her litter is almost the same. This has been going on for about 2 weeks and I need some tips on how to get her to go in the box and NOT on the living room carpet!

I am trying to get my mom to get me a horse. She said I can if this farm will let me work off board. What is a good switch for board? Like how many days/hours per week? $6.15 is the minimum wage around here and board is $375 a month, but I don't think they will go by minimum wage. What are good chores to do? Does anyone work off board now? What do you do and how often do you do it? All help is deeply appreciated! Thank you!

We need a non shedding dog and one that won't tend to run away when the door opens. I heard that it not in maltese natuer to run away and they don't bark a whole lot which sounds good the grooming we don't mind. But we have seen some cute morkies also but heard they can be protective of owner. can anyone give us some help in deciding.

We haven't had him during a Christmas yet, and he plays with/eats everything. I don't want him to destroy the tree (which is artificial) or any of the ornaments.

I just got them yesterday, their mom was killed the night before. I was giving them KMR milk every two hours all night, and they really seem a lot better. My boss (I work at PetSmart, thats how I got them) told me I could probably cut back to feeding every 4 hours or so.

My problem is that they're shaking very badly. I know theyre scared (they hiss at me) and confused and I'm doing the best I can to comfort them, so any suggestions? I'm afraid if I do too much theyll be even more scared, so I'm giving them some space for now, letting them adjust, and just spending some time every few hours sitting with them.

I know its normal for kittens to shake a little after they eat, but how much is too much? My boss said it could be hypo glycemia, so how do I tell, what should I be looking for? And if it is that, what do I do?

also... any suggestions on litterbox training (for later, since theyre not ready yet)
