OMG - I have a cat who has had many kittens, this is bad...this could be a spinal injury and you touching it may be painful and that is why it is responding. It needs to go to a vet NOW. If anything else, to find out its chances. If it is in pain and is untreatable, it needs to be put down humainly. If you don't have the money, let the vet know. They are always willing to work it out or do it for free. But, it really sounds spinal or nervous system, which won't heal itself like a cold. I wouldn't wait, call a vet. :) Good Luck... I hope the lil guy is ok.

Anaemia would be one possible cause- and parasites probably the most likely cause of that. Dehydration would be another- and if you think she's not nursing properly it's probably quite likely. I'm assuming that's why you were talking about the pinch test? You should still be able to do that- just gently pinch the skin over the back of the neck- there should be enough there to tent if it is going to. Seeing as though you looked at her gum colour, what did they feel like? (Hard on a 2 week old kitten, I know!!) Dehydration will make them quite tacky or even dry if it is really bad. You should probably think about feeding her yourself, just so that you know she's getting appropriate amounts of energy and fluids. Even if getting to a vet is still not an option, is there one that you can ring? If you really can't get there, and if there is anything you can do for her yourself, most should be happy to give you advice over the phone. That way they can also get all the details from you and be able to give a more helpful suggestion of what may be going on.

THIS IS AN EMERGENCY TAKE THE KITTEN NOW TO THE VET OR EMERGENCY VET!. do not call, go to the emergency vet--unless your vet has 24 hour er service with a call first. That's the only reason to call. Secure the kitten to a rigid surface. Transfer the kitten to a carrier or rigid surface by gently placing a towel under him or her taking care not to rotate head or spine too much. have a friend help lift and keep the towel straight. If in a carrier or box place rolled towels around the kitten to keep him or her warm and to keep it from moving.

DONT WAIT PLEASE

Calling your vet is free. And any vet I've ever been to if they are open on Saturday, there is no extra charge. Rather than letting your kitten lay there in distress and probably in pain, take her to the vet. This is not a veterinary website and is filled with too many morons. Take her to the vet right now.

Take the kitten to the vet NOW. It does not sound like that is normal behaviour for a kitten. It could be in extreme pain or very ill. As its owner it's your responsibility, it doesn't matter how much it costs you. If you weren't willing to look after the animal regardless of the cost, you shouldn't have been given one to look after in the first place.

This is definitely not normal! I have managed a pet store for ten years, please believe me when I tell you you need to take this kitten to see a vet immediately. The shaking leg indicates muscle tremor, which means its in pain. You did not mention the age of the kitten. Only newborns are occasionally unable to hold there head up or are trembly.

Just go to the vet. I can't tell what's going on. It could be anything.
I can tell you that you have a very sick kitten.
