Why? This is not personal you may not have this in mind but......some people sacrifice black cats around the solstice if they have certain beliefs and winter solstice is coming up. I'd rather risk annoying you than risk having a cat harmed.
Several have thumbs down this answer. But it is true. Many shelters will NOT give out black kittens around halloween or the solstice. It is relatively rare and often it is kids or teens thinking they are having fun even if not religious.
AND......why is this person asking? Surely they know black is common and where to find kittens in their area.

Go to a shelter. Just so you know, black cats/kittens are the last to be adopted and more often the ones who are euthanized. Save a life.

Walk into any shelter Honey. Black is almost as common as tabby stripes.
Really, animal control, the SPCA, petfinders.com, and craigslist.com have hundreds of them.
