Here we go, I purchased a 29 gallon tank, set it up with black moors, and goldfish with the fantails......Also, purchased a algae eater & a mystery gold snail as well...Do I have too worry about my snail in any type of danger with the rest of his family members? I also purchased shrimp pellets for him, would that be correct ? How often should I changed the water in the tank? "freshwater tank" by the way. Will the algae eater / gold fish become agressive toward him....Since he's so helpless?

Your snail is safe. goldfish can get aggressive but the most common cause is high ammonia levels. as to feeding the shrimp pellets I don't suggest feeding a snail directly. they get what they need from missed food.
Further, over feeding causes more problems with Nitrites and ammonia levels.
Algae eaters might bump the snail or test it for algae growth by mouthing it. don't worry it's just a test and not an attack.
One last thing. Snails have a great defense, the shell, the fish you've got with the snail have not got jaws strong enough to harm it.
Your family should be happy and enjoyable
Have fun with them and enjoy the world you've created

Snails eat pretty much anything they can find, but more often than not enjoy an algae diet. Depending on the type of algae eater you bought, it will probably eat the shrimp pellets as well.

You should allow a newly purchased tank you cycle completely before you do any water changes. This process usually takes between 4 and 6 weeks, and not only allows the harmful chemicals like ammonia and nitrite to balance themselves, but also allows your tank to establish a healthy bacteria colony. This is a very important step in setting up your aquarium. Its also very important not to overcrowd your tank! I don't know how many black moors or goldfish you put into the tank, but you should only start out with one or 2 fish in this very crucial period. If not, I'm sad to say, many of the fish probably won't make it. Make sure you have a good filter in place, and keep an eye on them. Hopefully they will be ok.

Check the water levels, keeping a close eye on the ammonia and nitrite. Once they are at a low level, then your tank has completely cycled. Most of my tanks took the full 6 weeks to cycle, but trust me, its worth the wait. Once it has completely cycled, its advisable, especially with goldfish, to do a 25% water change once a week.

And your last question, the goldfish and algae eater shouldn't bother the snail. Snails are rather good at protecting themselves against predators.

Be patient with your tank. Its worth it!

Be careful the snail doesn't multiply and then u have a bad outbreak of snails because thne you will have lots of problems. Take out 6 gallons of water every week and replace it with new water and some water treatment such as Prime or Aquasafe. The algae eater shouldn't be aggressive towards your snail. You have to make sure theres enough algae int he tank for the algae eater if its a new tank or he will die. Use algae discs found at Walmart or the pet stores. The snail will eat flake food, algae, vegetables (pieces of regular lettuce), and other lef tover foods left in the tank.

As long as the snail is bigger then the goldfishes mouths then you should be fine. I would worry more about the algae eater and the goldfish though, depending on the type of algae eater it can actually kill the goldfish. And hopefully you only have 2 goldfish in there with the other fish since they need a minimum of 10 gallons each.

Gold fish and algae eaters are non aggressive fish and shouldn't bother your snail. they don't have teeth so even if they do pester him they cant break his shell. you should change only 10 to 25% of your water a month and all the water every six months. Also, when you change water buy something to remove the chlorine from your tap water so fish don't die. don't put too many of the shrimp pellets in the water because they will cloud your water. he should get enough food off the bottem of the tank from the food the fish miss,

algae eater= pleco?
if you have a pleco- it is not good to mix with goldfish- once they get a taste of the goldfish slime, they will began to suck on the gold fish causing little blood spots- I had this very problem, had to get the pleco outta there.
