We have an older tabby kitten who has been an only pet since we've had him. We just got a new siamese kitten today, and the tabby just wants to fight him nonstop! He goes for the throat and we're afraid he may try to kill him. He's about at adolescent age and much bigger than the siamese. Any advice on how to get him to be accepting of the new kitten?

I have a 7-8 month old cockapoo, he's really sweet sometimes, but most of the time he's very controlling- probably because we weren't consistnet when we trained him when we first got him.
Now I'd like to train him to sit, stay, and come but he doesn't respond to dog treats, he likes them, he'll eat them, but he doesn't come running when you call him. I used bacon yesterday and it's worked wonders, he comes right away and stays for MINUTES before he breaks focus...
if he get a little less than 1 piece a day is that going to hurt him? He's very active, and my kids play with him for about 1-2 hours a night at least, plus a 30 minute walk... is bacon a good training tool? If not- do you think he'll like beggin' bits? (my previous dogs did NOT, but they liked milkbones...)

OK so, here is his story, he was badly abused and his eye was so infected he lost his vision. I adopted him and at the time of adoption he still had a touch of infection and was being treated. Now it appears he has dry eye (from what Ive read online.. he has tear stains down one side of his face only that are quite bad and sometimes develop an odor....) He has had it since I got him, but he was still being treated for an infection then too so maybe it was overlooked... can I use Visine True tears in his eye to see if it helps? I have used polysporin eye drops (as suggested by my vet)in his eye in case it is the beginning of another infection.... I think he may just have watery eyes so want to try Visine before taking him to the vet but want to know if it is safe.

Thanks
Kate

Has anyone ever dealt with this or have any info on it? I believe that this is what is going on with my cat. She has pulled out and licked off the fur on her belly and insides of her legs. She's always been a nervous cat... I cannot take her to the vet right now for all the testing to rule out other things. I truly believe it is stress! She has no redness, fleas, mites, bumps, sick acting anything going on.

Seriously! I'm a cat person and know next to nothing about Dogs except they bark and jump on you, but what I'm getting at is: if you were to build a fence, a cat will climb it and jump over it?
But apparently dogs don't? I've seen people around town that seem to keep dogs in a fence.
While I'm at it, can you train a dog to go out to the bathroom or.... how do they learn this?

I saw a car with sticker saying something along the lines

"The more people I meet, the more I love my dog"

It sums up the way I feel and would like to advertise this fact in the back window of my car. Can anybody help?

animals. If they are taken care of (brushed, ridden/exercised) ect. Then they look so sleek and beautiful. The last one I ever rode, was back I think I was like 11 or so, and I fell off in the mud! But they are still beautiful. Do you think? They must require a lot of work though, don't they? I mean, the bridle, the harness, the bit, the saddle, the blanket, ect.. then the feed and cleaning the stall.. ect.

Can anyone make suggestions on how a smaller nonprofit group can raise some funds to help save the life of a
horse? We have a Percheron who was donated to us to save him, but all four of his feet are rotten from neglect (canker infection)

His story is here:
www.equihab.com

Our target is $2,000 to cover surgery, medicines, shoeing, and treatment. We've come up with about $500.. but he needs the surgery ASAP and his life is danger

We don't have a big volunteer base yet, so somethng that needs lots of salespeople (like cookie dough) isn't going to work for us right now. It's also fall and nasty weather here so garage sales and outdoor things aren't going to work. I've tried donation jars but so far we only get a few dollars here and there. :-(

Any ideas of an November or December event that we could do on shorter notice?

Is there anywhere I can apply for a grant for medical bills for horses?

Thanks from us at the rescue and from Eeyore the horse!
