Yes you can train a dog to do about any thing I think. I'm sure you could train your dog to go to the bathroom we have. Dogs are as smart as cats! (Trust me cats are smart!) Hope that answer your question!
happy Halloween!

You are atotal cat person. Either ways, dogs DO jump. If you watch Animal Planet on Saturdays or Fridays, sometimes they show the ULTIMATE DOG CHAMPIONSHIPS or whatever. Then, you'll see that they play flyball which requieres jumping over hurdles and kicking a box to let a ball come out. Dogs however CAN NOT climb trees, fences or anything. Dogs can jump diffferent distances. Like small breeds like the Pomeranian or Shih Tzu can jump only little distances up (like reaching a step on the stairs), and straight(like over a hurdle). Large breeds like the Husky or the German Shepard can jump pretty well. They can jump over 2 or 3 hurdles.
It's easy to train a dog, well, according to the breed. Like a Maltese(usually show dog) may train not as easy as a German Shepard(police dog).

Dogs not only jump but they dig as well. Some dogs are escape artist. No matter what you do, they get out of the fence. I have seen a dog jump/climb a 10 foot fence. German Shepard.

Yup, dogs jump! We're going for agility which is the doggie version of a Steeple Chase... lots of fun! Yes, some can jump a tall fence even, but most don't. I have heard of certain breeds that will clear a fence, even 6 foot. But most aren't a problem with that.
And yes, dogs can be trained to potty outside as well as many other things. They're pretty smart and very receptive to positive reinforcement and treat rewards.

Yes dogs can jump some better then others, not as high as cats. My dog used to find holes under the fences to escape out of. He jumped small fences. I haven't heard of them using the tolete but they can be trained to go where it acceptable for them to go. dogs are used to assisted people in arange of area in life from wheelchairs and phyical disability, hearing impaired, metal illness, and more.

Most dogs will stay in a fence... but some dogs are great jumpers/climbers and can escape almost any fence. Luckily... mine are content to stay in my 4ft fence.
Dogs can be trained to do anything... including picking up dropped car keys, turning on light switches, opening doors, etc. Service dogs do all sorts of things for disabled people. Of course some dogs are WAY more trainable than others, but all can be trained the basics... if you try hard enough.
Just like cats, dogs need to be trained where it is acceptable for them to go potty. Generally it's pretty easy, but again... some train faster than others. Especially in housetraining... some breeds are notoriously bad (like pugs) and you have to pretty much accept the fact that there WILL be accidents.
I'm a cat person before a dog person... but I'd say MOST dogs are far more trainable than MOST cats. However, if you're thinking of GETTING one... they are also MUCH more dependant on you than most cats are. You can't leave them alone even for just a couple days, they won't ignore you - in fact they'll probably follow you around the better part of the day, and their idea of cuddling is often much more energetic than the average cat.

um... is this really a serious question?? some dogs can jump fences and you have to "potty train" your dog by constantly taking him/her outside. It may take a while, but eventually they figure out that they need to do thier business on the other side of the back door.

Of course dogs jump. I guess it depends on how high the fence is, if the fence is not too high, the dogs can bounce and jump out of it.
why don't you go google about "dog training", it will give you a lot of basic knowledge that you wanna know.

yes, they jump, but the hieght of their jump is limited depending on the type of dog. yes, you can train a dog that. there's different ways, but i just trained my dog by scolding him when he went in the house and rewarding him when he went outside.
