Probably not, as I don't think they're litter box-trainable.
Also, don't they use their trunks to squirt water all over the place? That could be a pain in the ***.
I also think they're used to living in groups, so to have a solitary one living in my house would be mean.

Yes,that would be so cute.It wouldn't be dangerous and the backyard would be plenty large enough for it to roam around in.
