Adpoted a kitten from Womens Humane Society a few weeks back. Ive taken her back for her 2nd set of shots 2 wks ago & her 3rd set of shots is next wk. The vet checked a stool sample, he said she didnt have any signs of worms/worm eggs. I notice tho after she uses the litter box there will be one under her tail - small white looks like a grain of rice & moves when I grab it with a tissue. If she takes a cat-nap somewhere, when she gets up there will be something similar in that spot- only it doesnt move & is like an off-white color. I told this to the vet at the clinic but he said she was ok since everything was clean. PS: This isnt all the time either, I'll find about 1 or 2 a day. Her belly is a little round, but shes been like that since we adpoted her.
My main concern is I have a dog too & I don’t want her getting worms from kitten (they sleep together/share water bowls) & she sleeps in our bed. I'm going to ask for her to be de-wormed next week, but until then??

My elderly Pug has frequent eyes secreations. Right now he has a mild eye infection and has gotten an antibiotic shot and is on antibiotic pills. Our puppy likes to lick and clean the older dog's face and licks him in the eye area. The vet has left for the day. Can the eye infection be passed on to the puppy through him licking the pug?

We have a seven-year-old house cat which, up until a year ago, always used the litter box for all deposits without exception. We moved two years ago and about one year ago, he had his first "accident" in the middle of the living room carpet. He has since done this four times, and always in the same place. We clean the area, spray with appropriate animal spray to discourage him and have once rubbed his nose in the poop harshly saying no, no. This has no effect on him. We're waiting for the next event. If he were peeing on the carpet, he'd not get so much patience from us. We want to resolve this so we can all get on with life. Any ideas out there? Thanks

He's been around other dogs before and enjoys playing with them. He never drools or salivates excessively, but when we got to the dog park, he just sat there and drooled to the point it was dripping from his jowels. He's about 4 1/2 months old. What's up?

Hi I'm a fairly experienced fish owner who has a 29 gallon aquarium. I keep the temperature at a constant 75 degrees F and I have a good filter that I keep the filter cartridge changed consistently. I do monthly 25% water changes when i syphon. I also have an air bubbler for extra oxygen and I keep several healthy aquarium plants. All my levels are normal (nitrate, nitrite, PH, ammonia) but every few months I seem to lose a fish to popeye! It's only one fish that gets it (and eventually dies) ever 2 months or so and the medicine doesn't work even though I take out my carbon!! I don't know what else to do. Overall I've lost 2 german rams and now discovered my dalmatian platy has it so bad he looks like a telescope goldfish!

I'm at my wits end. My angel fish is my biggest and oldest fish and has never shown signs of illness, but he doesn't pick on my other fish so i don't think he's stressing them.

heeeeelp

My little chihuahua won't eat or drink. There has been no vomiting and he hasn't went for over a day now. What do you think could be wrong with him? Could it have been something he ate? Would any vitamins help?

The bird is only 12 weeks old, we aquired it 4 days ago. We are able to handle it and it loves to be stroked, wanting attention and we still have all our fingers. The trouble is when we open the cage it is not long before it goes around the room like a 747 demolishing everything it comes into contact with. We have another grey called Smokey and a b/g macaw called Bandit both about 7 years old and aquired 2 years ago, they are quite contented to stay in or sit on their cages, and we would like the same from Josie. Bandit has a big beak and loves us both favouring his mum by far, but we have never had the courage to handle him though he seems to want it. ANY SUGGESTIONS ?

I have a cairn terrier with quite a good set of teeth. Every dog toy I have purchased for her, she has destroyed - even ones that are marked "indestructable". Any suggestions?
