OK, there is no special registry for 'tea-cup' anything.. they are only dogs that are bred too small..Yep, I could breed the smallest of my dogs to the smallest and keep doing that for generations..soon, I would have miniatures....A whole lineage of runts...And that is exactly what they are....runted dogs...cute, yes...but rarely healthy in their old age....do your poodles live to 15 years, as is the low side of norm? If they are not healthy at 15 years, your breeding is detrimental to the breed...Here is what the poodles site say> The life span of the standard poodle is 14 to 16 years. The life span of the miniature and toy poodle is 15 to 18 years.
As you have been doing this for 30 years..you know what the average lifespan on your lineage is...If it is indeed as long as normally bred poodles..then you are doing well...keep it up..

.If they are becoming hypoglycemic, collapsed trachea,(reversed sneezing) on heart meds, or thyroid meds or diabetic in their late adulthood, then it is time to quit.

At the doggy day care, I take care of too many of these 'tea-cup' heartaches..

These "breeders" you speak of are correct, just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's false. I did look it up and here are the facts, they do not agree with you:

The terms "teacup" or ("tea cup") and "tiny toy," have increasingly come to be used to describe adult dogs that are very small. The terms, however, are not used officially by any kennel club, and their use remains inaccurate and controversial. Since the terms are unofficial, there is no accepted standard of definition for the terms; thus, an eight-pound chihuahua (much larger than the maximum defined in the breed standard) can be described as a "teacup." The increasing frequency of use of the terms by laypersons has led some to believe that the terms are official, however, this has never been the case (see Chihuahua).

Most who are involved in dog breeding and judging argue that the whole concept of the "teacup" is nothing more than a marketing ploy to charge exorbitant prices for dogs that are frequently runts or that may have health problems due to dwarfing. Dogs that are exceedingly small, particularly those that are two pounds or less fully grown, often have shortened life spans and require special care.
Along with "mini," "pocket" and "tiny toy", "teacup" is sometimes used to describe Chihuahuas and other dogs that are very small. These and similar terms are not officially used by any kennel club or reputable breeder, and are not breeds or specific types of Chihuahua. In particular, all Chihuahuas are toy dogs; there is no such thing as a "toy Chihuahua."

Some potential buyers seek extremely small animals; very small dogs, however, are often runts. They are often unhealthy, or undernourished, or, if otherwise healthy, may suffer shortened life spans and health problems later in life due to extreme dwarfing. They are not normally suitable for breeding, and require special care. Some breeders of Chihuahuas purposely attempt to breed very small animals, and increase the prices of the smallest dogs, or specifically advertise tiny animals. Reputable breeders disapprove of such practices, pointing out that it is difficult to predict the adult size of a given puppy, and citing the other issues discussed above.

One breed, one standard. Just because you are breeding substandard dogs does not mean they are a different breed.

Nor does price make them good representatives of the breed, all you have to do is look at the astronomical prices being charged for the Poodle crosses.

If you want to breed dogs that are not to standard, at least admit it instead of trying to pass them off as a "special" breed.

So you have had them for 30 years and yet you are asking questions like why does my dog hump a blanket and why won't my male perform? Come clean! This is really a 12 yr old kid, isn't it? No way someone could be in dogs for 30 years and ask stupid questions like that!

it rather is not any longer unusual for the scrotum of a Golden to be dark or black. yet Judy supply the suitable suggestion. never hesitate to call your vet. That being mentioned, and not attempting to be rude or insulting, it does not sound as in case you have the considered necessary awareness to be a breeder. There are greater desirable than adequate Golden Retrievers in the international. Please do no longer convey to any extent further into the international till you have very reliable reason to, consisting of a certifiably reliable blood line without wellness themes. a reliable and qualified breeder could have evidence of the two a sort of characteristics. replace: what's it on the subject of the 'stud' which you notice as being apart from 'breeding'. those are not harsh comments, those that i've got seen. My relatives in trouble-free terms takes in 'rescue' Labradors, canines that have been won by using persons and then disregarded or abused because of the fact they won't be cared for or have been regularly undesirable. i'm useful those persons have been nicely intentioned, however the element is, we see all the time the repercussions of one individual thinking merely one muddle won't make any distinction. the concern is, there are thousands of those people accessible and that 'one muddle' provides as much as thousands, thousands of thousands. i'm asking you, please do no longer 'stud' your dogs out. i'm useful he's an remarkable dogs, however the international has greater desirable than adequate super canines that the two have not got properties or properties that don't rather need them.

Check the AKC and UKC standards.... None of the standards come close to mentioning "tea-cup". Dogs are not meant to be "tea-cup" size. I don't agree with the continued breeding to down size a breed, nor do I agree with breeding to create breeds larger than what they are meant to be(135 lb Malamutes, Rotts, etc) or "wooley" Siberians. People mess with the breeds for one reason and one reason only$$$$$. Unfortunately, it's the dogs and the uneducated owners that suffer.

Hmmmm...Unless you are breeding for the love the breed, breeding to better the breed, and breeding to the AKC standard, you haven't got anything to rant about. There is absolutely NO such thing as a "t-cup" and no REPUTABLE breeder would promote such a thing. The only time a dog is worth 3,000 is when it's a SHOW dog with the pedigree to back it up.

Okay, there was no question in this "question," just a rant, but since you opened the floor for discussion...

I'm against anything that is not in the best interests of the health of the animal. In our desire to manipulate nature for our own entertainment, we've created dogs who have trouble breathing normally, dogs who have trouble giving birth naturally, and dogs who are structurally unsound.

Creating versions of live animals who are physically unsound is cruel, and hardly a Christian attitude.

If your dogs are structurally sound - healthy, can breathe and reproduce normally, no inherited diseases, normal lifespan, then who cares how big they are? It's those poor "butterfly dogs" I feel sorry for, weak, wheezing, delicate, trembling things that live for such a short time, and are unhealthy most of the time. They've been taken so far from what is "dog" that they hardly qualify for the name.

So you breed small dogs. Do you breed responsibly? Healthy dogs with no inherited diseases? Are you very careful about screening the homes they go to, and take them back if the owners don't, or can't, keep them? Then I don't care if they weigh 10 pounds or 100.

is there any reason why your charge $3000 for your dog? since they are 'tea-cups' you can't show them, so they don't have champion parents. you are simply in it for the money. those dogs don't require that much food if they are that small, so how much money do you make on each pup you sell? and saying that people come from all over to buy your dogs doesn't mean anything, they are simply uneducated people and don't know that you are simply a backyard breeder. what is the point of a dog that can fit in your pocket? get a mouse if you want something like that.

LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are an online puppy mill!!!!!!
ANYONE who would buy or sell these genetic mis'fits for any more than $100 is INSANE!!!!!!!!
Frankly, I DO know what I am talking about and I doubt in ALL the years I have been in dogs, I have EVER seen you at a SHOW!!!! I know this because you are not interested in the breed, you are interested in BREEDING. Puppies for profit, puppy milling, backyard breeding!!! You do not have a care about breeding quality dogs, just small dogs that you can over charge idiots for. REAL breeders do it for the love of a certain breed and know that the only reason to breed is to improve the breed. YOU have no clue!!! You just want the money!!!! A special breed!!! That takes the cake as the most laughable thing I have heard on here in AGES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD...Tom l...it is W-A-I-T!! I have seen too many of your posts and cannot believe that you cannot spell it!!!!!!!!

"why do people don,t believe in tea-cups special bred?"

Different strokes,,, I guess
Just because you like tiny dogs doesn't mean I have to also.

guess I'd be waisting my time trying to sell you one of my Beagles or Labs ;)
OH-Waite,,,,, I don't have any Beagles or Labs for sale

Interestingly enough, almost all breeds of dogs were a "designer Dog" at some point in their development, and how a breed developed can be a very interesting read. One thing will stand out tho' as you read about them is that almost none of them developed by accident, and almost none of them developed within one persons lifetime.
