Well, it needs to be removed, but may well be the cyst or tumor caused by vaccination, if it is in that area..all tumors/cysts should be removed, so they don't become cancerous..the exception being hygromas..fluid filled lumps..they will re-absorb..

Ok,
a) There's a huge difference between a wart and a tumor.
b) My dog has many of these and he's a black labrador and the vet told me they are perfectly normal for dogs.
c) If the problem spot is more than the size of a freckle, have it checked out.
Good luck =)

You need to bring it to the vet and have it checked out, because they need to take a sample. Many dogs have skin growths that are benign, but the brown spots could be signs of melanoma.

It could be anything too, like other people said before. You definately need to take your dog to the vet. If the dog is bothered by it, then it must be serious or so. If it looks like a mole, dogs like humans can get them as well. Get your pup checked out asap!!!!

It can be ANYTHING, and I do mean anything! Is he suffering? Take notes on whether it changes, if your dog seems annoyed by it (i.e. scratching, or obvious discomfort. I definitely say consult a vet as soon as you can so they can do a scratch test and look at the cells under a microscope.
Good Luck!

I went to the vet this weekend with the same question. He said it was a hair follicle clog. He told me to put warm compress for two-three days and then try to pop it. If it doesnt soften up then he will take a sample.
