When we adopted two of our cats from the local shelter 2.5 years ago, they had urinary tract infections and the doctor said that they needed to be on Friskies' Special Diet for life (they were also given meds and the infections resolved). Now, we've adopted a new cat who is not fond of this special diet--seriously, she protested by dropping the kibbles into the litter box (we had slowly acclimated her to the food by mixing her shelter food with the special diet food over a month-long period; but still she waged this protest and seems to have gastrointestinal issues which I think may be associated with the food).

So, my question is, must we keep the other two cats on the special diet when the issue resolved itself over two years ago? I'd like all 3 cats on the same diet. Anyone else have a similar experience?

I'm not sure how it happened, but her toenail is completely gone. I think the bleeding has stopped. I cleaned her toe with warm water and then put some neosporin on it. Now I'm trying to keep a baby sock on her foot. Is there anything else I should do? Should I be worried about infection??

I have two very yappy dogs. A female papillon and a male yorkshire terrier. They both bark so much! My papillon will even bark at the simple sound of a child laughing in the street. Does anyone have a quick remedy to stop them from being so yappy?

My dog is four years old and recently has been chewing on his paws quite frequently. They turn pink and look very irritated. He has been in the same environment since we adopted him when he was 3 months old. He is a mutt and weighs about 50 lbs. What could be the cause of this?

She's a Shih Tzu thats 13 weeks old and I sometimes catch her eating/chewing on it. I'm not sure if it's because she is bored or if it's her food not giving her enough nutrients. I bought a brand for small dog puppies so I don't think it's that.

I don't think she does it all the time because I see poop laying around and her not around it, but I'm not around her everywhere she is so maybe she does eat it and I don't know. Please help!

The deer is about 6 months old and still has it's spots. We found it tangled in a vine and very weak. We live on a farm and have nursed it on cow's milk (the natural kind, not the store bought kind) and have let it eat some grain. It's standing now and is attentive. For the short time we will have it, what do we feed it to get it strong enough to survive in the wild on its own?

i want to know what the holy hell people are thinking on here. asking questions about breeding, potty training, and things that are OBVIOUS to even the most casual observer that their animal needs to see a vet immediately if not sooner. i'm trying to help people out, but i'm just getting tired of hearing about COMPLETELY IRRESPONSIBLE PEOPLE. it's wonderful if their hearts are in the right place, but geez. a little deductive reasoning would go a long way. i want to breed, but don't know what to charge. my dog's only got three legs, and the fourth one's just hanging off. if there's anybody out here looking for a dog, find the people on here who are wanting to breed, find out what they're breeding, and avoid them like the plague.

The dog has Valley Fever. He's at the animal hospital, but the vets seem clueless about what to do. Any pet owners out there who have experienced something like this and have some suggestions about what should be done?

We live on a farm, and my dog is usually outside. But he always smells, even after baths! It is like rolled over in something dead and it won't come off. What can I do to keep him smelling clean.
