My Swordtail had her babies She was spinning around the tank like crazy early this morning. I figured she was having them. I went out for a little bit and when I came home there were fry There are three that I can see at the moment. Please look at the following link and look at Swordtail tank. Thats what the fry and mom are in. Also I have an under gravel filter and a whisper filter at the top. Should both be ok to run or should I turn the wisper off? I don't want the babies to get sucked in to anything. Any advice would be great.

Its about to start being winter as we all know. All my dogs will be placed in a kennel for a short while (no more than 8 hours. Usually only 2 or three). The dogs are given toys and all to keep from getting too bored. We just got an aussie puppy. As with the other dogs, we dont want him running loose and chewing up stuff (also we have a retarded mailman that claims that our dogs are dangerous even when they are behind the closed front door).

Is Remington a good kennel? It would be used for bedtime and trips too. Is there a brand better? I need something that can take a lot and wont be destroyed easy.

I suffer from Ornithophobia fear of birds espciall magpies and there more to the point the flapping noise. We have a magpie building a nest in the tree in the back yard right near the cloths line I don't have a cloths drier. What I want to know is if I wear a cap when hanging out the cloths will the magpie still swoop me or is the idea of wearing a cap hat turn them off altogether or is the idea of wearing a cap just protects me if the magpie did swoop me. I don't want to be swooped again as I fear this will be a big set back if it was to happen.

Should I purchase a purebred german shepherd puppy from a breeder or rescue a borzoi mix from the pound? The mutt is approx. 3 yrs old, friendly & loving but will need training, he jumps up sometimes and pulls on a leash. He was also a stray so I have no idea if he is housetrained, I am assuming not. He appears very healthy, just needs to be neutered before he can come home. However, I have read that sighthounds may chase and kill cats, and I do have one cat at home. I asked the shelter whether they know if he is friendly with cats and they said they cannot test for that. I would have to adopt him, take him home, & then return him if it didn't work out. I also have another male dog he would need to get along with, and again they don't do dog-dog temperament testing so I don't know. He appears very friendly. Or, I can purchase a german shepherd puppy from a breeder and start from scratch. What should I do? The mutt would be cheaper at about $150 vs probably $1000 for a GSD.

My 6 month old Maltipoo ate some Chocolate 5 hours ago. I called the vet when she ate it, and they say she didn't overdose. I saw her poop, it's still hard but I did see junks of her choclate in there. Since she poo pooed it out... does that mean she will not be okay?

Is there a way to safely brush a cat's teeth? the vet says we should brush his teeth to remove plaque but he's got big sharp ones and nobody wants to volenteer to put there fingers near there. We tried the stuff you spray in his mouth to clean his teeth but he doesn't like it.

We found a kitten in the middle of no where today and I can tell there is something wrong with it. She can't really walk. When she walks, she stumbles and will just fall over, then get up and walk a little and fall over again. She's shaky-like, like maybe there's something wrong with her nervous system. There were 2 kittens and they both were acting the same, but we couldn't catch the other. It walked the same, etc. Someone most likely abandoned them. She won't eat or drink anything either. She also keeps sneezing and her nose is a little crusty, but we're assuming that that part of it is an upper respiratory infection. I have 9 cats already, so we're keeping her away from them until we can take her to the vet (tomorrow) so they don't get sick too.
Does anyone know what might be wrong with her? I've looked online and I can't find anything, but then again I don't know what to look for. I'm taking her to the vet tomorrow, but I'm worried.
Any help is greatly appreciated!

I gave him a carrot, tons of pellets, and clean water. But all he's doing is hiding in his hut. He's a little less than a month old. I'm worried thats he sick or depressed.

I have an 11 month old aussie shepherd. I plan on taking him in for basic obedience but feels he needs to let some energy go with the use of some sport
