i've noticed that children between 6 and 15/16 years tend to be very cruel with animals,i'd like to know why that is and how can it be prevented.

Hi I have two fantails with that weird bubbly brain thing on their head that lost their color... I got them a couple of weeks ago and they were in good condition from a good store and they have some black splotches on the bubbly part, tail, etc., but it seems as though they lost their color... what does this mean? And PLEASE do NOT put "oh, looks like they've taken a bath" or something OR DO NOT put " what? I have no idea what you're talking about..." or I WILL report you, i'm sorry but a lot of people have messed with me in the past so just answer the question please.

he has got little lumps around his muzzle and mouth there is no head on them that i can see they are quite hard and they dont look like bites from the other pups, and the other pups dont seem to have any, i have foned the vet and they said to take him through but i dont want to as they have been handreared and only had the mothers milk for the first 20 mins or so,the vet said they could be boils but there are quite a few,he is eating and drinking and running around,so if anyone has any idea as to what they are i would be very gratefull for any ideas how to treat them at home, plus he is the biggest pup so i dont think he is getting bullied,

We have just got a cat who is 4 and seems pretty happy apart from sometimes especially in the morning he will bite our hand or go for our ankles as we are walking, away from the kitchen. He does this to get food but he is being fed enough and is now getting a bit fat. Is he happy? Do we need to give him yet more food? What can we do to stop him biting?

I've got a 2 year old Belgian Malinois that insists on treating our cats litter box like an all you can eat buffet. We keep it cleaned daily but she still manages to sneak a snack between cleanings.

It decided to move into my home. We always keep our doors open during summer, so I guess the mouse just welcome itself in. I told my dad about the mouse and he doesn't want to do anything about it, just let it live in our house. So I thought I'd either capture it humanely and let it loose outside or capture it and domesticate it but I have to know if this is a good idea whether or not it might be... diseased or something. It is wild.

So, is it possible it could be carrying something? And do veteriniarians check out mice?

Currently, I have two cats. Both of them were strays, one is about 4 months old, and the other about 1 month old. I've yet to determine the species of the cats simply because I don't know how. Any help given would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

I am here at my boy friends house. Helping him do some laundry.
I am all alone, and I go to put his clothes in the closet. I hear a bunch of meowing. I thought something was wrong with his cat. So I look for her. Well I found her and she has a bunch of kittens. I dont know what to do. I feel like I should get them out and check and make sure they are ok. But I heard before you shouldnt pick up newborn kittens. Please I cant get a hold of my boyfriend and I need help!!

My shepard chow mix is almost 14 years old. SHe was born in my closet and as the runt I bottle fed her so we are EXTREMELY attached. SHe stopped eating a few days ago - I called the vet who said it is probably her time and that it was up to me if she does not appear to be suffering I could let her go in peace at home (she is deathly afraid of vet visits and absolutely panics - shakes and cries at each one) . Now she has stopped drinking and has not gone to the bathroom in over 12 hours - overnight she also lost the strength to stand. She is not crying and does not appear to be in any pain she seems content to just lay in her spot and have me pet/soothe her every so often.
I don't want her to suffer in any way but how long can she go on like this? I am pregnant so I can't lift her which will make getting her to a vet very difficult on both of us - would a vet make a house call for something like this? Or do I let her go when she is ready?

I had my cat to the vets a couple days ago for coughing. He said hairballs don't make them cough--and gave her an exam saying everything was ok--and advised in changing her litter because of the dust. He told me to get arm and hamer--but I think the baking soda is just as dusty-he says it's not the same. She's still coughing on and on--seems to be while she's sleeping and sometimes after she eats--but it's not a cold-cough--more like somethings stuck in her throat. Any ideas?

I recently moved in with my boyfriend who has a cat. The problem is that the cat has always been able to sleep on his bed in the past. But I seem to have a somewhat mild alergy to the cat. During the day I have no problem with the cat at all... but at night with the cat on the bed my eyes swell and i cough all night long. I dont think it is necessary to keep the cat out of the room all together and close the bedroom door... but if I could just keep her off of the bed without limiting all of the freedom she has always had in the house it would be very helpful. I have never had a cat before so I really dont know much about them. I would appreciate any help anyone could give.

We adopted our first cat in April. He was a beautiful black cat and my whole family fell in love with him. He did very well for a few months but then started showing strange symptoms like not being able to control his leg muscles, falling over. He was put to sleep and the vet said it was a high probability that he had FIV. So we were all very upset. We got another kitten in July after he died. The cat seems to be doing well but I'm so paranoid of losing another one. This one is healthy, just like our other seemed to be, but I'm concerned about a few things. His mother was a stray and he was abandoned with his umbilical cord and sack still attached to him. When I got him he had a cold and was treated successfully. He always has a bit of boogers in his nose, black like lint. a tiny bit. I posted another question and ppl have me completely paranoid that he could have leukemia. How can I calm myself down. Can my luck really be this bad with cats.I'll be devastated to lose another
