Yup they belong to the same group and fox never eat dogs :)

Foxes have excellent smelling and hearing just like a dog which makes them like cousins :)

THEY ARE A PART OF THE CANID FAMILY LIKE (CAOYOTES,JACKEL, AND WOLVES)
FOXES CAN NOT CROSS BREED WITH DOGS THE HAVE A DIFFERENT NUMBER OF CHRONOSONES. IF YOU SEE A DOG WITH FOX LIKE FEATURES THEN IT IS A DOG NOT A FOX.
