Id think you have to become a real, people detective first then go into business for yourself.

OK, there are a few problems that you have that have to be addressed before the question can be answered. First you reference the Jim Carrey movies. Jim Carrey himself is an ACTOR. Second, the pet detective he played was in MOVIES. Last, the concept of a pet detective of that nature doesn't exist. As far as your career goal you can join an animal rescue group or animal control unit.

There are no classes for "pet detectives". The only way you can help find lost animals is to join a search and rescue group dedicated to finding pets, or get a job with the local animal control.
