My cat pees all over the back part of the litter box, and it smells through the entire house. I have to use a covered box or the pee goes up on the wall behind it. Even sometimes with a covered box pee leaks through where the lid connects and down on the floor, Making the odor even worse. He is neutered by the way.

I have a Beagle (Bam) who is 2 1/2 years old. We have recently moved, leaving the house he grew up in his entire life. When I leave for classes for the day, someone is still with him but he just won't stop barking. We have another dog, about a year old, and he seems to stop after a few barks but my beagle just won't stop. He doesn't seem to be barking at anything particular or anything just sitting on our couch where he has peripheral of both the door and window and just barks. We're pretty confused about it but we think he maybe trying to show that though he has moved, this is too his territory over our 1 year old dog because we have caught him peeing and pooping other in the house yet he has been house broken for about 2 years. If anyone can help, we would appreciate it.

My cousin brought his year old pitbull over to play with my pup, I also have a pitbull but he is only 5 months old, a family dog hes sweet and calm. BK (my cousins dog) got a little too agressive and began fighting with my pup. After seperating them I found 2 small punctures on my puppies hind legs. It was bleeding a bit but nothing that made me panic - Please provide me with tips on how to care for him, I didnt want to rush him to the vet just yet. Serious answers only - Thanks

You may have noticed my other questions about the sick fry and the possibility of body fluke parasite. Well i really want to learn how to treat it, but i dont have a hospital tank and i really dont want to buy one (my parents probably wont let me, i dont have enough money). So can i treat my fish with antibiotics in their regular tank? does anyone do this, and does it work? I am worried that if i treat my fry in the normal tank, will it harm the healthy adults with the medicine (or salt if i put some salt in the tank to kill the parasites)? i really like my adult fry, i have a lot of them and i would be really sad if i harmed them by trying to save the fry...

also what is the cheapest/ smallest setup you can get for a hospital tank? if there is one for a really reasonable price which i doubt, then i might, possibly consider it if its the only way...

I recently sold my dog to a new family she is about 9 months old. They said sence they got her she wont eat, or at least not much. they took her to the vet and had blood work done but all the results came back negative. The vet may think just stressed out alittle. She drinks water. does anyone know how long it lasts or have any suggestions.
thank you
amanda

I want to leave my husband. Getting ready for it and everything, but then my husband dropped a bombshell that he will get rid of the dogs because the kids won't take proper care of them and he won't either. (in a way it makes sense but still...) I am a sensitive pet person and to tell me that when I leave, they will be put in the pound. 2 5yo dogs and a 1 yo sweet cat and a cocatiel, it breaks my heart to think that I need to leave. I can't take them with me, at least not for a long time, which is too long. Advice or sympathy please.

My daughter has a question:
Ok, I think that I may be getting a rat soon and I'd like to make sure that it won't die as soon as I get it.

What foods are bad? I know that caffeine, alcohol, and chocolate are bad but I've also read that alfalfa and corn are bad too...is that true?

could anyone tell me if an emu would be a good pet, considering it being in a 400 m2 space? and not just to have it there, but to interact with other people and maybe animals, I'd like an answer from someone who has been with them also, and not just a "yes theyre wonderful" response but the pros and cons, are they smart? how do they smell, would they be aggressive in any situation if you raise them from chicks, etc

I think my guppy fry (babies) may have some sort of parasite. Their tails are disintegrating (described as pin tailed or needle tailed i think) and they have trouble swimming and become very lethargic. I have noticed that when one fish gets it, they usually all get it. They end up dying within 1-2 weeks. The symptoms i described seem to be a body fluke, a type of parasite that apparently "eats them away" (eww, i cringe at the thought!)

anway the site where i got this idea of the body fluke is
http://guppyplace.tripod.com/Parasites.html

Do you think this seems right? Has anyone had this problem with their guppies? Also, ive heard that a good treatment for this parasite is to put salt in your tank. Is it ok for guppies to have salt? What is the reccomended dosage for a 10 gal aquarium (although adding all the pebbles and shells, it would be more like 8-9 gallons)

I know that you are supposed to get a hospitalization tank, but i really dont have the money to buy one. (cont.)

Yesterday I posted a question about how to gid rid of a flea infestation. The overwhelming response has been to use Frontline or Advantage on my dogs and either bomb my house w/professional grade foggers or hire an exterminator. What I need to know is this. I have applied Hartz topical solution (worthless!) once and bathed and dipped my dogs twice in the last 2 weeks. I have also used powders and foggers in the house to try and control the flea problem. I've had these dogs for 6 years and never had a problem with fleas even close to this one. Is it safe to now give my dogs Frontline or Advantage? Which product is better or are they about the same?

Thanks for all of your suggestions yesterday and today!

I am in my early twenties and have a 2 year old lhasa. She is already spayed and I do not want to breed her. However, In the next several years I would like to breed lhasa apsos. NOT because of the money but because I love the breed. I have read several books on the breed and have done some research already. It is really hard to find lhasa breeders in my opinion so I would really like to be the next generation of lhasa breeders so that I can continue to improve this breed I want to make sure that I do this to the best of my ability so I was wondering if there were any breeders out there that could give me some good advice on what all I should do to prepare to breed. Some steps I should take

Now I do not want answers saying that i am a terrible person for wanting to breed because that is TOTALLY not true. breeders are necessary to uphold the breeds and to improve the breeds. If it werent for these breeders we would not have healthier longer living purebreed dogs we have today
