As long as you are responsible you can never love animals too much... just don't become one of the crazy people we get to see on Animal Cops...
The ones with 296 cats and 42 dogs....

Yes, one can love an animal too much especially when I see overweight pets every where.
If caring for an animal is an addiction then yes, we are both addicted.

I love my dog that's for sure!
It's not an addiction it's nature because they are more grateful than human beings and in some way animals behave like human beings (in the good way).

It can be. Especially if you turn into a hoarder. People that take in stray after stray never having them altered and ending up with hundreds, truly love their animals and really think they are helping the animals by taking them in. People like this are sick and need medical/psychiatric help.

It must be. I just can't stay away from them. I own 3 dogs of my own and foster about any that come my way. I've loved them since I was a child, and it doesn't get any 'better' if this addiction is considered a 'bad thing.'

Yes, I'd say it is. And you can't love them too much. There is so much to love! I am the happy owner of 3 cats and 1 dog and I love them till I think my heart is going to burst!

Is it because there is nothing to hate about animals, therefore your love is endless? Animals cannot give back to you what you give them (food/shelter), so your love is without expectation and unconditional? I say it's not an addiction, but your love is ideal. :)
