my pet rat, when i picked him up today, he has been sneezing ever since i got him, which is about 1.8 days, and untill now, i looked at his nose, it looks like blood, but he never gets into fights or even playfights with his brother, from what i understand, they are about 2 or more years, more being 2.2 years old, and thier cage was constantly neglected by the 10 year old who owned him, the previous owner wasnt too intellegent with her pets, nice and all, but just didnt know alot about them, i think her bird died because it loved chocolate too much, they havent been to the vet yet, so if anyone knows a good vet in the US, ontario, california aeria and how much it might cots to get them looked at, PLEASE REPLY. i just cleaned out thier cage, and its a 10gal fish tank with a wierd mashed cardbord like bedding, mostly like recycled paper, and it has a ramp that leads to a cage above, i havent had time to get to the pet store, something came up, so i had to feed them hamster food. help.

He must have got through 5 or six in the last year. He comes back after a 'night out' and it's gone missing. Not sure if it's during the odd fight he gets into, or from squeezing through small gaps. Obviously, for safety, cat collars need to have some 'give' or a catch that releases if put under strain - but this seems to mean we need to buy a new collar every couple of months...

I have kept Pueblan's together without any hassles. They are both female and about the same size. I have been on the look out for a Sinaloan Milksnake to add to my collection...I really got a good deal on a lovely speciman and the fact that she's a female is a bonus.

I have a 9-mo old puppy who we are pad training...my husband and I work the same shift so she's home alone for 9 hours a day, and she's little (teacup yorkie-maltese mix) so we want her to be inside-trained. She was doing really well, and all of a sudden she's not using her pads or her litterbox as much...she's running behind furniture to pee. We've tried putting the pads where she's been having accidents (we find them via handheld blacklight), and she just pees right next to them. We change the pads often-after only being used once or twice, and when we see her potty on the pad she gets lots of praise...but we're still having accidents! We've tried taking her outside often to see if she'll wet there, but she refuses. And it's not like she's a bad puppy either, she's very smart and friendly, knows her tricks and commands, very well behaved. We don't ever catch her in the act, so scolding won't work...I'm at my wits end, my puppy is destroying our brand new carpet! I need help!

I have a 8 week old pug puppy, "Pebbles" that shivers when she goes outside to potty in the mornings so I found these adorable jogging suits online. I'm going to buy her one in her existing size (you measure from the neck to the base of the tail). Anyway while they are still available I'd like to order a few for when she's full grown. Does anyone know how long the average measurement is on a full grown pug (neck to tail) She's going to be an average size pug. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have a stray male cat that crosses my backyard once in a while, and I hope to befriend it. I know that if you feed a stray dog a hot dog that the hot dog's smell stays on your hands and its smell causes the dog to follow you, so my question is how can I do that for a cat?

He is only 4 years old and has an intestinal tumor. Sergury would be over $1000, which there is no way we have. So my hubby and I opted to put him to sleep. We feel really bad and all can do is cry. And I've heard it gets worse. Any suggestions?

I am looking into adopting a Husky from a shelter. The dog is very much an indoor dog, not too boisterous, etc. I live in a large townhome; however, I don't have a fenced yard. I run every evening and work from my home, so she would get plenty of exercise. Would a long walk a couple times a day and a run in the evening be enough exercise for an indoor dog, or would it be cruel to adopt a dog without a fenced yard? The shelter said it was ok but I want to make sure she would be happy. Any advice/experience with this would be appreciated.

Just for walking purposes, I have started using a choke collar for my dog. It seems to be working.
If i switch back to her nylon collar/lead for walking, will she revert to her old pulling ways, or will the choke chain have tamed her for good?
