I have been a long time fan & admirer of what Steve Irwin stood for. I found it shocking that how he died. It was while filming an episode for his daughters Animal Plant show. If you consider all the dangerous species of animals & reptiles he encountered over several years of doing what he LOVED. The last thing you would expect is a stingray barb to the heart. We all have a time & day set for our end. It must have been his time. I realize that his wife Terri and his 2 children had sooo much more in mind for him, but we are only here for a certain amount of time. He MADE THE BEST OF HIS, WHOLE HEARTEDLY!!!!!!!! He taught so many so MUCH in his time. You have to appreciate his efforts.

I didn't watch the show as much as I used to, but I still can't get over that he is gone. I figured he'd be around wrestling crocodiles until he was 70. What a way to go. It seems that he was truly fated not long for this world. I will miss him and his show, and all of the great work he did.

like another poster in this question, the media is really overdoing it, the man died, he died saving animals, leave it at that, dont rub salt into the wound by bringing up the bad stuff about him, he was a great man, i watched his shows when my sister was watching animal planet on tv, but other than that, not when i wanted to. i hardly knew alot about him, yet i am so touched by his death.

We all love you steve
