Ok this may sound gross but when does a male dogs nuts drop. I was giving my male chihuahua a bath and notice he doesn't have any and he is 4 1/2 months old. The lady I got him from said he wasn't fixed. Sorry I have never owned a male dog.

you will start to see it in about six months to a full year.
don't worry about it,i did this to and worried he would never have them drop.
but you will in time.

They should of dropped by now. I would have the vet take a look and then if they are retained they can still have him neutered but it costs more. They normally drop by 8-12 weeks of age.
Also, some breeders have then fixed before they leave their home. It is done all the time by vets (neutering at 5-10 weeks). I know of breeders who have it done around 6 weeks before the pup is sold.. its not right in my opinion..

Cryptorchid is the name of the condition in dogs of one or both testicles not descending .
I got the following information online:
Owners should castrate dogs who carry heritable diseases, such as hip dysplasia or other congenital conditions, to make sure that undesirable traits and disease aren't passed on.
"Dogs that are cryptorchid, i.e., with one or both testicles that did not descend, should be neutered," emphasizes Dr. Coolman. Cryptorchid dogs are at much higher risk of
developing testicular cancer, and the condition is hereditary.

As you stated he is only still a baby and his nuts will only drop when he is about six months old then they will only start to grow, and no he is not fixed it is only because he's still a baby

They should have decended before NOW!! NEUTER TOMORROW!!!
