I've had a beagle for about 9 years now. We found her during the last major ice storm we had here, she was around a month old tops and almost frozen. (My dad found her in a ditch)

She's golden and white and her name is Cheyenne, she's our baby. We went through a rough time with her about 8 months ago where she suddenly was paralized from the waist down and had to be carried outside to do her business and carried back inside. The vet told us that Beagles have an extra vertabrea that sometimes causes disk slippage and he was pretty certain that's what happened to her (country vet, can't really afford much more).

It was touch and go, and iffy situation for a while. Finally the medicine and therapy (done by myself) has her walking again, though sometimes she limps.

Gah, I've gotten off on a completely unrelated story lol.

But yes, a beautiful and extremely intelligent beagle of 9 years, Cheyenne.

Toy Poodle. Got him from the pound 7 years ago. He was just 6 mos. old and his owner was sick. The shelter clerk brought him out for my daughter and I to look at. She said, "His name is Max." I said, "How are you, Max?" and he jumped from her arms into mine. Needless to say we took him home ASAP. Great dog! But then again, I haven't had a dog I haven't loved. (I even like cats, and I'm allergic to them.)
