Ask your vet, I would say about 2 cups of puppy food for now. He really hasn't learned a food addiction yet. measure out the food you put in his dish and keep track of what he eats. at this age he will only eat as much as he needs, he will not over eat. Use a quality dog food. Nutro Max is the best food you can buy and the little extra cost is worth what you will save in vet bills from urinary tract infections and kidney stone surgery which is 500 bucks. I would never give a dog canned food either. It is really bad for them and has terrible ingredients, you could expect diarrhea and for the dog to get fat and beg for food more. Dont feed a husky biscuits. they are working dogs, they need a healthy diet and lots of excercise. For training purposes uses there dog food or frozen peas. Or small bits of carrots. Do not feed a dog table scraps or dog treats. These things make you feel better but they are not best for the dog. The dog may also like frozen broccoli.

My hounds are about 70 pounds at maturity. I feed them 3 times per day until they are 6-8 months, (or until they are not teething) and change to 2 times or free feed for life. They seem to do best on twice per day or free fed from 6 months on....
The reason I feed 3 times for the first 6 months, is..as they are teething, and need their food softened a little so it is easier to chew..I don't like to leave softened food out too long, so just feed what they want 3 times per day..
Your dog will need softened food at about 3-4 months, until his major teeth have all come in..

go by the package. they always say age and weight . only feed that amount in 3 meals not all at once. i feed my 4 great danes 24/7 and it has completely stopped over eating, and "wolfing" and coveting food bowls. they maintain a good weight , dont fight over the feeder. and eat less than when i fed 3x a day each dog.there is no need to finish the bowl so they just nibble all day. also the regulate them selves after a few days so their systems always stay regular.

He's a puppy, so I recommend getting him on a feeding schedule of no less than 3 times a day, and eventually cut back to twice a day. Getting him on a feeding/watering schedule will also help loads in housetraining and cut back on accidents.
