There really isn't a long term solution to a canine allergy... if you are allergic to your dog it isn't going to just go away, but there are some prescription medications which can help you cope (and that work much better than OTC's, but have higher risks of side effects...)
Unfortunately there is no cure for allergies, at least none that are FDA approved. Maybe someone will give you a holistic 'cure' sometimes they work better than traditional western medicine.

If you're young, like a young teenager, or something, there's a slim chance you might grow out of it.
You do have some options, though. Visit your doctor and ask him to refer you to an allergy doctor. You can get shots there (I get allergy shots weekly, have for 2 years.) for an amount of time, that might make you immune to dog dander. Or you can ask your doctor if you can get Singulair or something.
Good luck.

Try claritin first (the non drowsy or you'll feel fuzzy headed), and if that doesn't work, then you should probably see an allergist (your doc can refer you to one) and they can do an allergy test.
Also, if you're allergic to the dander and not necessarily the hair, you can feed your dog special food like I do for mine. But try the claritin first...it's pretty good stuff.

You might have an allergy called rhinitis, which usually reacts when you're near pet hair. Allergies will never go away, but you can make it subside by taking medications... :)

eventually yes. your body will build a tolerance to whatever allergy, most likely pet dander, and you'll eventually stop sneezing. however if you are removed from your pet for a lengthy amount of time, this will all come back again.

you may want to try changing dog shampoo's. if that don't work you'll have to go to a Dr. my aunt had to get rid of her parrot because it affected her breathing. her Dr told her there was nothing for her to take. good luck.
