ALL THE TIME!!! My kitty is 2years old and stays indoors in my small 1 bedroom apartment all the time. Sometimes, I think he needs a break from me waving a furry toy in his face, and sometimes I need a break from him dragging the furry toy back and begging for more. Kitties that go outside eat bugs all the time and it is completely normal and fine for them to do so. I see absolutely nothing wrong with this, and nothing about it is gross. You are appeasing the more "animal" side of your indoor kitty and providing him with a distraction.

Even if people think its gross, I think it makes you a good kitty owner. :)

I HATE MOTHS. But yes, I do intentionally let them into my house so my cats can play. I love my cats and obviously I would do anything for them. Flies, they just come in on their own - no need to let them in intentionally!!

At this house it is lizards that the two cats like to nab. Jing Joke about two inches long to four inches and very fast. They can go any place. They eat the bugs so we leave them alone but the cats sure do have fun with then when they can catch them.

My two cats love to chase flies, they look so funny leaping in the air to try to get them. It's funny when they stalk them. Once I let a June bug in and they went crazy!

etting the urge to chase and attack the fly, moth, ect. is a natural instinct, I let my cat play with them for fun and its not bad for them at all, althoug some insect or bugs will get eaten and may be possible to form a worm in the body.

I don't need anymore bugs! I let my cat go in our Garage for a little while so that she can catch crickets and cockaroaches. Also, whenever there's a big insect in the house, I let her try to catch it. She has the time of her life, and the bugs die. Don't let her catch bugs if you use pesticide to kill them outside, though. She can become seriously ill.

I don't intentionally allow them in the house, they sneak in when the door is open!

I do since my cat is totally an indoor cat i think that it gives her some better ways to play and may even fulfill her stalking needs--at least I think so--besides its fun to watch her chase them down:)
