He is fixed. We feed hm Royal Canin Large breed and he loves it. He seems to actually be losing weight even though he eats like a horse. I can't keep his dish full enough for him. He doesn't have worms.

we just got a puppy today and we realized he had a lump on his side. so.... i pinched it to get the blood out and a maggot looking bug called an"cuterebra" popped out! does any one know how to treat this and can it spread to other dogs or people? please help! he was an outside dog and lived in the wandered in the woods but now he lives in a fenced yard. it didn't seem to bug him when it came out and he hasn't been sick! what the heck is wrong with my dog?!:-) PLEASE HELP

I just got a new cat today. He has strange looking bugs that I am able to see with my bare eye walking around on him. They are reddish with black legs and hang mostly around his muzzle area. I have a flea collar on him but I don't think these are fleas. How should I get rid of them? What are they? Will they start biting me???

I like to supplement a little bit of cooked meat into my dogs diet, because he's on a holistic food that requires so little to be fed that he ends meals a little hungry. I don't want to spend so much on chicken breast, and a cheap alternative is gizzards. Can you feed a dog chicken gizzards, or do they contain bone shards that might be harmful?

the other fish in the tank dont look like they have it , but i also have a black ghost knife fish and i have heard they dont like these chemical treatments and can kill them. ive heard salt can cure ick has anyone tried this and what success have u had ?

I live in central New York and I feed lots of birds. I do know that some birds leave earlier than others but the birds here are a mixture of all kinds and I do not know one kind from another. My question is when do I stop feeding them so they can migrate south?

My friend is considering adopting a miniature poodle that was rescued from a puppy mill. The rescue organization has all of its rescues on the BARF diet. Has anyone used the BARF diet? Is it worth all the time and money, or are there good premium dog foods one can purchase that have the same nutritional value?
