My friend is considering adopting a miniature poodle that was rescued from a puppy mill. The rescue organization has all of its rescues on the BARF diet. Has anyone used the BARF diet? Is it worth all the time and money, or are there good premium dog foods one can purchase that have the same nutritional value?

Some people have alot of luck with the barf diet, but these people tend to have alot of time on their hands. I personally like a food called Wellness. While it is expensive it is very healthy with all natural ingrediants. I would definetly not recommend any store brands they are just loaded with unhealthy fillers such as corn. I just switched my dog to Wellness and she is doing great and her coat looks awesome. Check it out at omhpet.com and take a look at the ingredients yourself!!

good luck
