i found a kitten, it followed my brother home from school, now i've posted signs up and i'm wondering, how long should i wait until i take the signs down. and what should i do after we take the signs down, i'd really like to keep him but i doubt that will happen when i already have an older cat who doesnt like this kitten, and my parents are against it too. i dont want to bring it to the pound b/c what if no one wants him? what do i do!?

Im vegetarian so cans of dog food freak me out. I was borrowing a friends dog so I bought her a couple chicken thighs and she ate them whole bones and all. Now my GF tells me that chicken bones are like tiny trees and they will snag on her digestive track and rip her open!

OMG! What should I do? Should I call 911 for pets? What is that #? Will 911 know the #?

I would love to have a pet squirrel. Are there any states where that is legal (I know it's not in PA unless brought in from another state and not captured here)?

I have 2 Dachunds. One is Sniped and the other isn't. We have a doggie door and the Un-Sniped one growls at the Sniped one and doesn't allow him to come through the doggie door. Even when it rains (especially when it rains) he will not let him come through the door. I think it's because he is the dominant one (w/nuts) and the other isn't (w/o nuts).

my cat died on 8-28-06 at about 7:30. her kidneys were failing so we put her to sleep. she was suffering. she seemed happy till just about 5 days before she died. she was exploring every last place possible that she hadnt before. before we brought to the vet we all said our goodbyes just in case. we could pick her up in a towel thats how weak she was. she was 4 pounds and dropping. her normal weight was 8 pounds. so im just wondering how did you deal with a loss of your pet. she was 13.

I am sheltering my first rescue and he marks his territory a lot and has problems when he sees/hears my cat. Will having him neutered help w/this? How else is it beneficial other than the reproduction thing?

*I may keep him if he can learn to tolerate my cat.

My dog will not stop drinking water. This has never been tried, I am not cruel to my dog, but to give you an idea of the severity, if provided an unlimited supply of water, she would drink until she vomits, then would begin drinking again. To give some background, she is a 45 - 50 lb. Boxer that was rescued from Arizona (I live in Ohio.) There is a really good chance she was abused by the previous owner. The vet said she is fine, no diseases or anything. My thinking is that it is psychological, I'm assuming that she was not given water often combined with Arizona's climate made her dehydrated and craving water. I believe she thinks when given water she must get all she can because there may not be a next time, but that is JMO.
I limit her water intake to avoid this, I put down the toilet seats to avoid her drinking them ( she has drank the entire bowl dry before) and now she drinks sprinklers.
Is there any way to get her over this problem, or do you think I am even right?

I have two small bunnies and two small hamsters. Besides their regular food, I have just given them a small amount of carrots and appleas. I know, no lettuce, right?

teaching your bird to talk? What did you try and what actually works? Is it worth it - or should I just let the bird be a bird and not worry about her talking?

I have a Sun Conure - she is 5 yrs old.....Is she too old to learn?
