I would love to have a pet squirrel. Are there any states where that is legal (I know it's not in PA unless brought in from another state and not captured here)?

I absolutely love squirrels. The whole rabies thing- They have shots for that!

A squirrel is a rodent and rodents can't carry rabies, they are sweet little critter's I saved a baby one once that had lost it's mom. I kept if for a pet in Illinois, but I don't think it's legal there either.

It's extremely rare for a squirrel to have rabies. They are as safe as any other animal.

this is from Florida, so I'm assuming it's ok there

Nope. Not in Ontario either. Maybe it is ok if you trap them and leave them in the trap outdoors. Althoughm I have no idea why you would want a pet squirrel. Get a rat and tape some feathers to its tail.

they are wild animals and not suited for pets...also, they may carry rabies.
