This is a Samoyed. This is NOT a husky or a malamute, those are two different breeds. The Samoyed oriinated in Russia. They were introduced to the west in 1889. They were bred for hunting and to guard reindeer. They are good for human companionship and good with children. The samoyed is classified with the spitz dogs. It is recommended to enroll a samoyed in obedience classes and they require regular grooming. They make a good family dog but expect to invest a lot into a pure bred such as this.

They are beautiful dogs. I used to own 2 of them. It is most definitely a Samoyed.

I just had to take a look at the pictures, I'm so glad I did. Oh...it is soo cute! I honestly don't know a whole lot about all the breeds however it may be a chow or husky. I know there are others who will know exactly what it is.

It's a working dog and it's a Samoyed. Same classification as a husky or malamute.

sanoyed and definetly not a CHOW these dogs are nice and good tempermented compared to a chow.. beautiful dogs when taken care of properly..
