I bought 4 Mollies today and the two females are pregnant. Is there any way to tell how much longer they have till their babies are born?

I have the safety nets and everything all ready for them...

Um.. gestation for mollies, like all livebearers, is about a month. There is no other way to tell when they are about to drop other than to note the size of their abdomens. Also, some mollies won't eat the day they give birth and appear to be quite sluggish and lethargic, while others will eat twice as much and race up and down the sides of the tank.

Be forewarned, though, that since you do not have these fish in a brackish environment, you may end up losing quite a few of your fry. Also, remember that the mothers will eat the fry, so she will need to be taken out of the breeder nets as soon as she is done birthing.
