I'm just guessing here- but I would say draft horses are in the mix, as when people started driving cars everywhere, they got rid of their horses. You've also got mustangs in America, and Brumbies here in Australia (feral horses). They are a mix of draught, thoroughbred, and welsh ponies, arabs, all bred together to make an extremely tough breed of horse.
