You can get a flea treatment from your vet that is safe to use on young puppies. It's really important that you get them treated, esp. if the flea infestation is bad. It's not unheard of for puppies to die from the resulting anemia.
You can usually bathe the puppies in the flea shampoo at 12 weeks.
It varies with each type of flea shampoo, be sure to check the back of the container (it should be printed there).
It's not a matter of the puppies being too young to take a bath, rather, the flea shampoo is usually toxic to young puppies.
Hope this helps!

Don't use the flea and tick shampoo on pups that young, just wash them with regular puppy shampoo and leave it on them for about 5 - 10 min before rinsing it off; also give them a final rinse of a vinegar solution made up of one part white vinegar to 2 parts water. Fleas don't like vinegar and so it will help to repell fleas from the pups.

YOU SHOULD NEVER USE FLEA AND TICK SHAMPOO ON A DOG YOUNGER THEN 12 WEEKS. OK now that i have gotten that point taken care of let me explain why. the shampoos are very strong and can burn there little skin. go to your vet and get some front line it is gentle enough for the pups. and talk to your vet they will tell you what all to use and as far as baths go that should be fine just use a puppies shampoo or the baby's Johnson and Johnson no tears shampoo. good luck getting ride of the fleas.

You can bathe them after 6 days of birth in a sink with warm water and flea and/or baby shampoo. I have 6 pups and it works great!

I once had a female chow that had pups, they were about three weeks when I gave them thier first bath. Since most shampoos you can not use on pups under 12 weeks or even 6 weeks, you can take a small, very small amount of Dawn liquid add a some of Johnson Tearless shamppo and lather it on your pups. Shouldn't take much. Also sometimes you can use the 6weeks old shamppo but in smaller amounts.
Hope that was of help to you. I would also advise you before taking any one's suggestions, call your vet and see what he /she thinks. They have some tick dip that they can use on pups that age too, well I don't know about where you live but they should.

Can't use most chemicals on them until they are 6 to 8 weeks old. You need to make sure you read the directions on the bottles. There are some shampoos that contain D' Limone which is a natural pest deterant and can be used earlier in the pups life....but READ THE DIRECTIONS

Give them an old-fashioned sponge bath. Use a large basin, fill with warm water, and use a facecloth to wipe the puppies down without putting them into water.
Towel dry.
