huh it is very simple, i trained my dog. take a treat(nomatter how much is the size of the treat dogs do anything for anything...lol. To train "sit", Take the treat in your hand and lift it to a higher level from where he have to jump to take it. When a dog jumps first he sits a bit. at the moment he try to jump dont let him jump and try to keep him at the sitting position and give him the treat. If he don't do it, push his back to make him sit and then give him the treat(always say the command u want). Lay doin is easy - when the dog learns to sit, put the treat doin with your hand. If he stands say him NO. if he lays, give him the treat. Give the Paw - take the treat in ur hand then with the other hand take his paw(dont let him take it back hold little tightly and he must not get hurt) Then give him the treat. Rollover - When the dog is layed down, take the treat to the any of the sides then dont let him stand, help him to roll and when he does give him the treat. Jump is the easiest. every dog knows it allready.....lol. crawl - it is a bit difficult, when he lays put the treat in front of him a little bit far from where he cant take it, then say him to crawl, when he crawls a bit take the treat more far. keep doing that for a little distance and then give him the treat.
ALLWAYS appreciate the dog whenever he do the command!!!!

PEOPLE! Do NOT push on your dog to make them sit! This can damage your dogs hips. Make it something your dog wants to do, if you force him into the sit position it won't be something he is too excited about doing. Instead, lure him into the sit by holding a treat up above his nose and moving it backwards. In most case the dog will follow the treat and sit. Then you can a command or signal and keep luring him into the sit until he gets the idea. If that doesn't work you can use clicker training and teach him that the click means he has done something right because he gets food. Then when you see him sit click and treat. Then add a command or signal and so on.

train him one word at a time. say sit and push his fanny down. then give him a small bite of a treat. say sit again and push his fanny down then give a treat. Keep doing that til you say sit and he sits. Best to do just one word a day at different times of the day. Also use hand gestures and stick with the same ones. Make sure its a treat they really love. Hot dogs always hit the spot but cut it up small like the size of your little fingernail. m

Sounds like you have a dog that won't pay attention to you. Its up to you to get and keep his/her attention long enough to train it those simple commands. I would also suggest hand signals and giving doggie treats as a reward. Don't over train; it will bore your dog. 15-30 mins would be great for a training session. If you need help on training just ask and I will do my best to help you!
Good luck

actually, dogs dont understand the words. They go by tone, and or motions of hands. I can help u out, i trained a beagle, lab, yorkie, and jack russel of my own, plus im now doing work at an obediance class.
SIT: piont ur finger towards down and say SIT, then push his/her but down till it SITS down. then praise. repeat this 6 or more times a day and in about three or four he/she will learn it!
LAY DOWN: Get the dog so sit (by comand or force) lol. Then snap and put down or tap the ground in front of dog. Then if dog doesn't lay on his/her own then push (lightly dont hurt the dog) down, or pull feet out from under. do this repeatadly.

use treats that your dog likes to eat. Then to teach him/her to sit. Just use your hand to push her/his butt down. And give it a treat. and keep saying the word sit.
repeat the process for a while. the dog will eventually get the idea.

You yourself manually make the dog repeat the action, while at the same time repeating the word to the dog, that way it will memorize the word with the action its performing within two days it should respond to your commands.

I've listed a great dog training book on my website. It's called How I Trained My Dog in One Evening.
I've used it, I love it, nothing has worked better in my opinion.

use big hand gestures with simple clear words and repeat a million times always the same way. he will catch on. only reward when he makes the slightest attempt at what you mean. every tiny move toward what you want should be encouraged.repeat.
