even with floats ur boat... in all seriousness even with the undeniable fact that... you'll extra constructive wish your soul mate isn't a dogs because you'll be living an extremely lonely existence if this is so... i advise dogs do not stay continually, or although lengthy as people for that remember... as well that i imagine the entire concept of a soul mate is conjecture and presented on through severe thoughts of attatchment, not actual religious windfall... FEELING that someone or something is your soulmate is purely that, a feeling; not something extra... imagine about it like this, once you adore someone sufficient, it continuously sounds like it became meant to be, yet that doesn't mean there is a few type of divine windfall guiding both of you mutually. purely that destiny (a completely non-religious, non-superstitious type of a destiny; danger can be a extra constructive be conscious) befell to reason your paths to flow and also you at present have a deep emotional attatchment.

You are not weird or a horrible person. Sometimes you connect with a pet and others dont understand. I believe that there can be different types of soul mates that you meet in your life not just a romantic one. When I was pregnant and throwing up constantly it was my little chihuahua who sat beside me and followed me around. Sometimes a dog can sense when you are feeling down, sad or even in danger. I would suggest maybe going to the shelter and taking a look around and see if you are drawn to any dog. Or do some research and find out what kind of breed would be compatiable with your lifestyle. Good Luck and I hope that you find a wonderful companion.

You have a soul fit for a human being therefore you will need a soul mate from another human being, not an animal.

Then consider getting a pup of your own. There is nothing like the unconditional love of a dog!

I have customers who have a family of dogs(or other pets) instead of people. Dogs give unconditional love and trust. We don't have to worry about them running away or doing a lot of things that humans do to hurt us so much. They are wonderful detectors of human nature too.

aw... don't listen to the negative comments on this. it's just ignorance.

you should look into adopting a dog of your own. there are a lot out there that need homes.... i just adopted a puppy a couple of weeks ago and i can't imagine life without him!

www.petfinder.org is a great site.

My best friend for fourteen years was a little 5 pound female. If there is a doggie heaven that's where I want to go. People are boring.

Its okay to be infatuated with an animal, but to call him a soulmate is too much. Ignorant people will read sexual connotations into it. (If my cat were a man I would marry him. He is such a gentleman...)

To answer your question, no, your soul mate wouldn't be a dog. However, a dog will be your best friend, love you unconditionally, always be happy to see you, and never reject you. They are better than humans!
