I have three neon tetras, recently when I went to feed my fish I discovered neon fry swimming around. I was VERY SUPRISED because I deff' didnt see that coming. (YESTERDAY) Well now one of my neons is acting weird... (TODAY) Im not sure if its the one that had the fry or not. It kinda seperates from the other two neons (very unusual) and it is losing its bright colors. It kinda just likes to swim or be in my fish tank decor' by itself. (a bridge & a ship) ANY IDEAS?!

I moved here 2 yrs ago. My landlord told me the older lady next door was a good christian woman. She had always been nice to me and was always sweet to my kids. Today she said "I'm forewarning you I'm sitting poison out to kill these cats that keeps pookin in my yard. I hate animals, I don't have a dog in this fence cause I don't like stepping in pook and tracking in my house, so you need to keep your cats inside. me:You can't kill my cats that's cruel. her:I know there's a leash law for dogs, there's one for cats too.she's gonna call the humane society. My cats go outside alot. I can't keep them locked in when their use to outdoors too. It got me all upset. I cried my heart out. I love my cats. I grew up with cats.I'v tried to keep them inside, but they run out everytime the door's open. I have 3 cats, and 2 of them are out right now. They've been in all day, so now I can't get them to come back. What can I do?

I need to bring my goldfish that I kept in a preformed pond in for the winter. How do I go about setting up an aquarium. Do I need an air pump? Do I have to let the water(My house is on a well) sit for a week before putting in the fish? Do I need a heater?

Thanks

Is there a pill or something that I can give him? I just don't like the smell of the collar. I know that there are shampoos but I don't think they would last as long as a collar in same cases if your dog gets over active some week or if you can't get to him right away. Anyone able to help?

I have a female cat that cries and whines constantly for food. she is getting proper nutrition and she gets fed dry food, can food and treats EVERYDAY. She wakes me up sometimes just meowing at me and when i get up she runs to her food bowl thats already full. I know she likes can food better than dry but she eats the dry too sometimes. she is already slightly overweight- What can I do about this? Shes more annoying than a baby some days!

AHHH!! I was just watching my betta fish swim around when I noticed that under his gills there is a big bump!! Is it just that i am overfeeding him and he is obese?? And i also noticed that his colour is dulling. His whole head is a yellowish maybe dirty yellow colour. I don't know if he is sick! And what can I do?

I was told that if two males or two females were placed together one will change sex, as confirmed by their cere color (the splash of color above their beak). They will not be able to procreate, but the change in color influences the aggression level.

I mean people have pet cows, chickens, birds etc and we eat them. Would it be legal to eat my own horse, or cat, or dog? I think it would be ok if you actually ate it. I have eaten horse and I like it, but haven't tried dog or cat yet.

About a month ago, my dog had a bad infestation of fleas. I did absolutely everything to get rid of them - swept the carpets (corners included) really good, sprinkled flea killer powder on the carpets, gave my dog a bath with flea shampoo, and bomb the house with flea bombs. I've been giving him a flea bath every week since. The last couple of days, he's been itching alot, and tonight, I saw a flea on his belly!! I'm at my wits end. Is there anything else I can do to keep those things away? I'm not too keen on using all those chemicals again so soon. Any help will be appreciated.

I have 5 others in the litter and none of them have this problem. I gave him a bath and flushed out his eyes. I used a pen light and do not see any scratches on either of his eyes. I dont believe this is an eye problem but rather a eyelid problem. I am taking him to the vet tomorrow but I thought I would see if anyone knew what it could be. As far as I can tell his eyelid is not turned in as it would be if he had the common eye problem for his breed, entropion. I am at a loss. I have never seen this before.

We have to get rid of our cats, but only under the promise from my fiance that I can get a rabbit or a guinea pig. As an inside pet, what would be better for our family, a rabbit or guinea pig--regardless of childrens' ages?

His name is Oscar, 16 years old and we have had for about 6 months. The original owner is a friend of ours and was unable to keep him due to health issues. At first everything was great. He came onto our finger when we said UP, we let him out several times a day for excercise, he gave kisses etc. Then one day he bit my finger, my husband started laughing and I told him to stop or it would encourage the bird to keep biting. Well, he kept biting, deep bites! Then about a month later he bit my husband, several. Now Oscar refuses to come out of his cage. He puffs up, dialates his pupils and trys to attack! We have tried everything. We don't yell at him but do say NO in a firm voice. We have never hit, shook or thrown the bird when he bit us. We have tried several things, trying to get him to come out on a gloved hand, a hand perch etc. No success. We are getting upset because he needs his nails and beak done and he needs to get excercise. We are at our wits end. Please help!
