We just rescued three stray kitten babies yesterday and noticed today they had a few fleas. We bathed them and picked out the fleas (5 total) even though I'm guessing they are more. We have a dog (who is on Frontline) so I'm not too worried about him. We threw out the blankets that we had given to the kittens, gave them a new box and new pillow...all that.

How likely is it that any of the fleas are on me and/or my boyfriend? I have long hair (but always tie it up) so I'm kinda freaking out here. Just the thought of fleas makes me itchy so I can't go by that theory...lol....We're just freaking out a bit.

Also, any suggestions how long will it take to get rid of all the fleas? Do you think we got rid of them all (I know this is probably wishful thinking)!

Please help! We're dog people, but we just had to take them in to protect and care for them.

Mailmen use this too. I like to take walks in my neighborhood but often encounter a loose dog and usually big ones like Dobermans, Rotwrilers, and Pitbulls. I have used the spray and it has worked however I worry about running out. It's awful that I have to resort to this but so many people here like leaving thier pets off leash. I think they do it to protect thier property.

I'm supposed to move in with my girlfriend next month and I've got 2 dogs- a smooth fox terrier, and a terrier/beagle mix. She has a Yellow lab, and my friend who is going to be staying with us for a while has a boston terrier/black lab mix. It's a 4 bedroom 2 story house with a 1/4 acre yard.

I have a 2 yr old male shepherd, and just adopted a 9 month old male shepherd. My 2 year old doesn't want to be friendly with the new one. What can I do? Getting rid of them is not an option, neither is keeping them separated.

We recently rescued 4 kittens that are 6 weeks old. They are all very healthy and are all brothers. My mom is only allowing us to keep 2, which means we will have to separate them. (we are taking the other two to the Humane Society) Will this be very traumatic for the kittens at this age?
Thanks for any help!

we are thinking about getting another dog. we already have a 3 year old golden retriever and 4 children ages 7-14. We have a good sized house and yard. The yard is partially fenced but a dog would be able to get away easily. We want a medium-large sized dog that is friendly and easy to train. Preferably somewhat active and some shedding is fine. Basically a good family dog

Is there a animal selter or some place I can give my puppy away because I really love my pup however my grandma isn't cool with me having it in the house and stuff. And she's still a small puppy so I rather have her stay in the house than outdoors because she so young. I asked all my friends if they want her, but they all said no because they all already have a dog. I don't know what to do!

My highly pampered, spoiled, fat, queen-of-the-household female cat, age 2, has taken to pooh-ing on my bed. She has a perfectly clean litter box available, but if I leave my bedroom door open, she hops onto my bed and craps on it! Why?!!!! When I scold her, I swear she looks at me like I'm crazy and it's her privilege to pooh anywhere she pleases. Help me!

I have to give up my cats. I want to find a good home for them, but how do I know that the person has a "good" home. Do I have the right to ask certain things? Like if they have young children? (My cats are not very inclined to spend their time around young kids.) Or how they're going to be providing a good home? I'm really nervous about giving them up, and I know I'm going to cry. But how can I be sure that they're going into a good home, and the person isn't just saying they are?

And any comments about the cats being eaten or any other grossness will be reported. SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY PLEASE!!

I have a lemon-colored beagle about eight and half months old... when 6 months old, we kept him outside. Then, he was free to do as he pleased, but afterwards, came the digging and scratching problem... So we bought a kennel and kept him in there. I take him for a walk about two hours a day, and play with him ALOT! we've been having a problem... He barks at me when I try to put on his leash, he jumps, tries to bite me, he urinates and poops in the middle of the street (and recently, started pooping in the middle of the street and a car driving our way!), he tears up the leash while we walk, he barks at other dogs, scratching my brother, constantly picking up sticks and other kinds of debris, pooping in his home, eating bugs and pebbles every five seconds I love him, but I'm starting to give up it's been three months of all that, and I punish him occasionally by skipping one meal or refusing to play with him...and in other ways too I know beagles are stubborn, but this is too much

They have always been on a cricket diet and that is simply all they will eat. They are uninterested in the worms, but I successfully got them to eat a couple via assist-feeding. I will buy more crickets later, but I want to get them to eat the worms too. I thought I would try something new, and I'm too stubborn to give up now.
