Of course not. That would be a MUTT!!!!!!! It is not a breed if it a mix of two purebreds.

Yes - it's called "mutt", just like all the other "designer dogs" and "hybrid dogs" out there.

There are also thousands of them out there already, being killed because there aren't enough homes. If you want one, contact Lab Rescue or Great Dane rescue.

Not sure never heard of that one, I have a chocolate brown lab /newfoundland he`s like a big black bear he`s gorgeous

The Great Dane is a breed, and the Labrador is a breed; so crossing two breeds gives you a cross breed, or x breed. 'Hybrid' is the name given to a cross breed by people who are trying to promote them.
Mongrels are a cross that contain 3 or more breeds in their parents;
pedigree x hybrid = mongrel pups.
hybrid x hybrid = mongrel pups.

like the first person said it wouldn't be called a breed but i think that there is a hybrid look on dogbreedinfo.com then look through the hybrids.
