hey everybody, my friend just moved to a new apartment and can't keep his cat. he and his girl have tried to find a no-kill shelter that will take her, but haven't had any luck. they really want to avoid sending her to a shelter where she might be euthanized.

the cat's name is Huggles....i'm not sure what breed she is, but she's smallish, cute, and shy. anybody looking for a kitty?

my friends are in the boston area.

I'm gettting a Yorkshire Terrior puppy offline from someone in another country and they are going to have it flown here. But I have to give 200$ through a moneygram? It is safe or is it fake?

We just purchsed a new budgie and are very excited, but worried that he won't eat yet. I see "conflicting" advise about keeping him covered or socializing him "right away" What is the right thing to keep him healthy and acclaimate him?

I have had my leopard gecko for over a year now, and I consider myself to be an ok handler. I have had my days when I don't feed her but I try to make up for it the next day. My gecko is fully grown, so I have been keeping her on Calci Sand, and I feed her gut loaded mealworms. However it has now been a week since I have seen her eat. Her tail is now getting smaller so I think she is running on her reserves. I see her drink now and then but she doesn't touch the mealworms she once darted after. I don't think its the sand since she has taken plenty of mealworms since I switched her to it a few months ago. However I have noticed now since she hasn't eaten, that she is having shedding problems, and has already lost a claw. I am really worried, and I have tried a few things, sheet moss, warm soil/sand for her to help shedding...but now she isn't eating, at all. What should I do? Or is it time to get some help from the vet? Thanks a lot in advance!

Can cats get skin cancer? Because I think my cat may be developing it. He has this one spot on his back that is especially dandruffy, and it is dry and the fur is getting thinner, and whenever you touch right there he starts licking his chest, and basicly freaking out. I love my cat dearly and want to help him.

Just curious, but does anyone know the answers to these questions?

We have 7 cats at home. When I went and bought rolls of toilet paper in quantities of 4 and sealed in plastic wrap, I came out only 4 minutes later and found it partially chewed on.

When I went to clean the cat boxes, I came out four minutes later and found Booters partly wrapped and *happy* in an empty garbage bag which I had just LINED! lol

There were holes chewed out and claw marks in the whole thing!

Why do cats do this?

Recently I got a kitten from the local shelter. He seemed really healthy and happy and then 3 days later I had to have him euthanized because he came down with a really bad strain of feline distemper. The shelter said he was up to date on his shots, but maybe he was exposed to it before he had a chance to build up his immunity. Anyway, the point is, I may want to get another cat in the future - who will be up to date on all his shots for sure before he's introduced into the environment - but I don't want to put any possible new pets into harm's way. Obviously no unvaccinated cats will be brought in as that would be pretty much a death sentence. Any ideas on how to clean the carpeting though? The apartment carpeting is light brown and apparently bleach or really high temperatures are the only thing that will kill this horrible bug, but I'm not sure if regular steam cleaning would be enough. Has anyone had this problem before? Thank you.

My friend has been a saint taking care of a kitten that has had her first test for feline leukemia and it came backpositive. At the risk ofinfecting her three other cats she has managed to take care of it in her room and providing her with a good life. However being stuck ina room is no fun after you have completely investigated everything. So Sheneeds to find it another home that has no other cats where she can be kept inside for the rest of her life. Her prognosis was good a full life anywhere from 3 to 20 years but sheneeds to be alone. If there is a rescue that can help her please contact me.

Our cat is part of a litter from our daughter's cat, so we got him at a few weeks old and had him spayed at 2-3 months old. He came to us litter-box trained and we've only had sporadic accidents up until the last month or so. The only thing that is different is that my husband and I moved an old refrigerator out of our kitchen and moved a new one in, taking quite a bit of effort and time. Furniture in the kitchen was out of place for a couple of days and our cat acted a little spooked by all the goings-on. The change in his behavior was not long after that, maybe a couple of days.

We have a 11 month old chihuahua. She has this strange red scaly rash on her back. Almost all the hair is gone on a strip of her back. It is also on the tip of her tail and her feet. I boutght some medicine from a pet store for 10$ but it does not help. I have no idea what it is or where she got it. I have gotten all of her shots that she has been able to have so far. I cant take her to the vet because we are broke right now. Please dont give me this if you cant afford a pet then dont get one story. We have provided for her very well, we just are in kind of a bad spell. School jsut started, lots of money on clothes and school supplies and lunch snack and has money does add up. Our dog is very entergetic and playful. She is an indoor dog, has been since she was born. She does go out side every once in a while. Please tell me what i can do to help her or what it is or something. Your help is very well appreciated.

My pitbull Kenzilinn will snore for example: I'll have the fan on low, and you can't even hear her. So then I decied to put the fan and air conditner on high..she snores 10 times louder so loud you wouldn't believe it. I think she either likes to hear her self or is out beating both the fan & air conditner. and also why does she grunt like a pig?

Has anyone tried Green Grass by NutriVet? It's supposed to help neutralize a dog's urine so it doesn't burn the grass and turn it yellow. Is it harmful to the dog? Have you had any side effects?

Here's their website:
