there is a good chance that it will not survive, why don't you just bring the mother and the kitten(s) to the humane society instead of purposely killing one of them, they will get their shots, be spayed or neutered and find a great home where they can stay safely.

A kitten that age would have to be fed every 2 hours. You can not skip meals. The chances are stil high that it can die even if you do feed it kitten milk. At that age you also have to help it go to the bathroom because they can not do it on their own. Also kitten milk is very expensive! If your dad can hide a full grown cat, he can hide that little kitten. Please please do not remove the kitten from it's mother. Can you not have a friend hold on to the cat until the lanlord leaves? Maybe even board it at the vet clinic over night. Try at all costs not to remove the kitten. If you try and hand feed it, you have a lot of work ahead of you.

You can get kitten milk (formula) at the pet store, for kittens that have to be taken away from their mother. But a week and a half old is way too young and he might not survive, because the mother does so much more than just feeding her kittens. She grooms them and keeps them warm and nurses them around the clock.
Maybe a friend can keep the mom and kittens till the landlord goes away.

you cant do that to really young cats. they need there mothers milk for a while. find someone that will take all the cats. even the mother. then when you move in you can take them back. give the kittens away a another few weeks and then you can just keep the mother. i really dont know why the land lord doesnt allow pets because cats dont do any thing and they dont stink. good luck with the hiding bud

I think I answered you first question to this. It's not pretty and it's not easy to keep them alive. You can go to a major pet store provider and find the supplement milk for the kitten but it's very likely that they will die. I'm not saying the kitten will, but they're survival probability is low. You have to tube feed them when they're that young. A tube attached to the milk and it 's long enough to reach the end of the kittens stomach and you push the milk supplement thru the tube with an empty vile. Go to a good pet store and they should be able to help you. And it was every 4 hours for us when our cat had her c-cection. It's hard work but if you can do it - Go for it!

Just take all the kittens and the mother and bring them to a friend or family memebers house. It is a bad idea to seperate them. Why are u only taking one? what about the rest of them? The kitten can survive if you feed it kitten formula and keep it warm and help it go to the bathroom but its much better off with its mom. Hope it works out for u. Side note:You should get your cat fixed asap.

If you have to, you can feed the kitten special milk that you can find at Petsmart , or your local pet store. You can feed with a special bottle that they will have there or you can use an empty, clean glue bottle.
Just be gentle and feed what is recommended. You can ask an associate at Petsmart or somewhere like that for help finding your kitten's formula.
Good Luck!

The kittens need to be with their mother ~ it might be possible for them to survive if you do all the hardwork and and buy all the right things (KMR, bottles etc.) but please don't risk it!! Try to find a friend that will help you out until the kittens are weaned from the mother. If you don't know anyone who can look after them, here is a website that lists all the NO-KILL animal shelters in the US, Canada and Mexico. Just scroll down to your state and click on the one nearest you. Perhaps you could leave them there until you are able to look after them again.

You are going to be taking the kittens away.. and not bringing them back.. It may be better to ask a friend to foster them for you, until they are old enough to be given away to good homes.. Then you can sneak your cat back..without too much worry. If the mom cat is without her kittens, she will whine.. they can be fed formula especially made for kittens, but the mom should be with them..

It will probably die. Kittens aren't ready to leave the mother cat until about six weeks of age. Maybe there is a local shelter with a cat who recently had kittens. Preferably a no-kill shelter. The "pound" will just kill the kittens outright.
