hey everybody, my friend just moved to a new apartment and can't keep his cat. he and his girl have tried to find a no-kill shelter that will take her, but haven't had any luck. they really want to avoid sending her to a shelter where she might be euthanized.

the cat's name is Huggles....i'm not sure what breed she is, but she's smallish, cute, and shy. anybody looking for a kitty?

my friends are in the boston area.

Hi there...consider using a free online classified service such as Craigslist. http://www.craigslist.org. It's free to list and use the service. Select your state/city from the main page and post for a low fee (like $15-30) rather than for free. The reason is that many people have found there unsavoury people who take free animals to use either as research or as bait for their dogs or even worse, which is very upsetting. Request that you would like to conduct a couple follow up home visit inspections months apart so you know your friend's kitty will not be abused or sold to someone else as well.

look on petfinder.com and see if there isn't a rescue that may be able to take the cat. Make sure it is a no kill rescue..
Animal shelters and rescues are listed by state and city.. Best of luck to you and your friends.. and the cat!

Too bad we're not closer.. I'd like another cat/kitten.. WI

I know of a place in Attleboro,Ma.It's called "Attleboro Friends of Cats".That might be too far from the Boston area to travel but if you call them they might be able to direct you to someone in your area. They are a No Kill organization.
