He is all black with the exception of his paws which or white. But I don't want to name him socks.

Awww, Shih Tzu's are the best aren't they?. I have a Blk. & White male Shih Tzu as well. He's 7 now, & his lil' paws, & around his mouth & all has turned a redish-blonde color...When my parents got him for me I was 2 mths. short of my 16th Birthday, I didn't know anything about Shih Tzu's, & named him Babie...If I could go back & name him something else I surely would, but it's a lil' too late now..haha...but it fits him quiet well, 'cause he's nothing but a spoiled rotten baby!...Anyways...sorry, starting to ramble...You know their origin is China, right?...Have you considered a Chinese name? Either way, I'll try & help you out!

Here's how I named my cat: grab a Cosmo magazine and read the "confessions" found in every issue. (They have guys write in, too.) Find the scenario that you can most see your dog getting involved in, then name him after the person who did it.
I recommended this to another friend, and she ended up naming her dog Cosmo. Ha ha!
