Every year in October, dolphin drive hunts are conducted by small groups of Japanese fishermen. During the hunts, hundreds—sometimes thousands—of dolphins and other small cetaceans are herded into shallow bays, corralled into nets and brutally slaughtered.

More than 250 marine scientists and zoo and aquarium professionals have signed a statement saying that the hunts are an astonishingly cruel violation of any reasonable welfare standards, and should end immediately. Delegates from the group aim to meet with the Prime Minister of Japan to make him aware of the scientific and ethical basis for ending the hunts—and they need your support to do it.

She has a spot on her spine in the middle that when you touch it is very warm or almost hot. She cannot walk on her back legs. She is only a year old. The only thing the doctors found wrong were some lesions on her spine but they say that would not cause this problem. She can feel her legs because when you scratch her belly her legs move. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have an 8 month old kitten. Up until about 2 months ago I was feeding him Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover's Soul kitten food. His coat was great-no shedding, but his poops were not as firm as they should be. I switched him to Royal Canin kitten food. Poops are great but the shedding is awful. Could this be from the food switch or is it from shedding baby fur? He is a medium fur length, and I have had cats like this before-but don't remember this much shedding. I am wiping hair from my kitchen floor every night. My vet says he is the picture of health. I took a shedding blade to him today, and got enough hair off him to make another kitten!! Thanks in advance for the advice!!

Can I have those little glass fish with the attached floating ball in my tank along with my real fish? Or will it freak them out too much? I have a 20 gallon tank, with guppies, that is not overcrowded. Half of them swim around the top and the other half throughout the tank, the only time they all come to the top is when I feed them or at night when they sleep (and even then I'm pretty sure they aren't all at the top).

4 months ago I thought one of my fishes was pregnant because I noticed it's stomach had grown. But it's been a long time, and I think it was never pregnant and under the swelling it has some strange lumps. But he's not sick or anything. He just has those strange lumps. I feel bad for it since he's so small and the lumps are starting to grow bigger than him. He's measures one inch or smaller.
