First see a vet about the diarrhea. As for the best food for your kitten I will recommend what I feed my four cats. Our pets need quality pet food. Read the ingredients list and learn what the stuff on there is and what it does (or does not do) to/for our pets. A quick pet food 101. If the pet food contains corn/corn products or by products it is a poor quality food. Do not pay attention to advertising, they all say there food is great. Corn is a filler that can trigger skin problems. (allergies, skin problems, itching and excessive shedding) By products is anything from an animal not fit for human consumption, including cancerous tissue. Quality foods have meat as the first ingredient. California Natural, Solid Gold, Innova and Merrick are a few of the best brands available. Diarrhea can be very debilitating for a cat. A 24 hour fast without food is a good idea. As it is Sunday I would contact a vet early Monday if the diarrhea is still going on as it needs to be stopped. Kittens don't usually react this way unless their food is changed suddenly. At any rate it is best for a vet to work with you to determine the cause of the problem.

By the way, I have a great vocabulary and lots of education. I was 65 before I mastered the word "diarrhea". I had to make myself write it out on paper at least ten times.

I'm wondering if your kitty is very active or dehydrated. If I were you, I'd take it to the vet. Animals require medical attention just like humans do.

If you really care for you pet you will pay the money and you will feel so much better about yourself for having done so.

Office calls aren't usually more than $30 and it shouldn't cost too much more for the checkup and medicine if needed.

The diagnoses is what is important here for your pets well being. Once you know why it's sick you can treat it and have both of you be all the happier for it.

Diarrhea is a symptom that something is wrong. It is very easy for kitties to get dehydrated if they lose fluid either through diarrhea or vomiting. Get your kitty to drink as much water as possible but don't force it.

This could be a bacterial infection, or something as simple as having eaten something that doesn't agree. I don't suggest changing your kitties' diet, because that could add to the problem.

If the diarrhea persists for more than a couple of days or if she starts to vomit, get your kitty checked by a vet.

You need to take your kitten to the vet. Diarrhea can be dangerous. especially for kittens as they become dehydrated. Many kittens dye like this because owners wont take them to the vets. Your vet will suggest whats right for your kitty

Dry food is best.If the diarrhea persists, give the kitten about a teaspoon of Pepto Bismol.I use a syringe(no needle) to give it to my cats.It also helps with hairballs.♥

If you feed it milk, switch to water. Many kittens are lactose-intolerant and can develop many stomach problems.
