oh the poor baby. I am so sorry aobut your cat. I know how you loved her as I love mine. I've been told that cat's don't always have good memoires. That they have may have 2 or 3 and when contraction lighten up they decide "I really wanted to have my kittens somwhere else" so they will get up and go somwhere else and forget about the 2 or 3 that they already had. I've had cats that have done that.

Most likley your cat died givnig birth. As many women did years ago. Because there was no one there to help her. You mentioned that she was bleeding too, so I'm guessing there was a problem with something else. Also she had trouble giving birth. Was she an older cat? Often they have more trouble that younger cats giving birth. (nature made it that way)

I am sorry you had to lose a dear kitty. That is so very hard for us all. Aren't there any of her kittens there on your farm?

It is better these days that girl cats be spayed so they don't get pregnant and have babies. Many human women have died in childbirth over the centures. If you have a cat who can get pregnant she needs to have her kitty doctor just as you sometimes need your doctor. Her doctor would examine her, maybe even be able to tell you how many kittens are in there waiting to be born, check her overall health, make suggestions about extra food for her when she is carrying a babies, etc.

Then if she has a difficult birth or problems after giving birth that is an expert you can call for advice. Any vet who has seen a cat considers the cat his/her patient so they don't mind a telephone call.

Good luck in the future. I am sure there are many loving cats in your future life. All of us who love cats wish that for you.

She may have had some sort of uterus problem, or her vaginal canal may have been too narrow.
