Ok.... I have three year old basset hounds... I am trying to get them on a daily walking routine, but only one (male) of them seems to enjoy it. The other two (females) just almost refuse to go. One of the little girls tucks her tail and walks backward trying to go home. I know that a walk is good for them but I haven't realy been able to manage getting them more than about 1/4 of a mile. I walk them seperately so that they don't pull my arm out of socket. Any ideas on getting them to actually enjoy a walk.

Recently my grand-daughter,who is 14 months old, found some doggy doo-doo on the floor from the family's 6 week old puppy. Unfortunately, before she could be stopped, she ate it. Now this puppy had been taking some pills several days prior to this. My question is, should we be concerned about her getting sick. It's been a coupl of days and she's been fine, and i'm sure one of the pills were for worms,if he had any. One thing i should add is that this dog was puchased for 800.00 and is in perfect health,if that makes a differance at all. Thankyou for your answers

I once owned two black goldfish and in the morning I'd wake up and they'd be on the ground. This happened several times until I got a bigger tank with a cover. Has this happened to anyone else of did I have mentally disturbed fish?

What should I do. It was an accident. I was putting out some anti-freeze mixed with tuna fish to kill the opossums that have been getting into my trash and I noticed the neighbors dog eating it. I tried to stop the dog but I didn't want to scare the opossums away. Well the next day the dog died. I got scared and took the dog and hide him in my parents deep freezer. The neighbors have signs up in the neighborhood with a reward for the dog. I feel real bad and hope I don't go to hell. I was just scared. Will I go to jail? I need advice fast. My parents are surley going to notice the dog in the freezer.

We are planning to relocate from NJ to SC. It will be a 12 hour ride. I have 5 cats, 2 of which are very old (14 & 16 - those are the two I am most concerned about). They'll have the stress of moving, seeing their home upside down, etc, and then have to be in a car for so many hours. Does anyone have ANY suggestions on how to make it easier, for them and for me, without the use of tranquilizers from the vet? (I am afraid the older one's wouldn't survive a tranquilizer). Twelve hours is a LONG time to hear them howling!

I have a 5 month old Bengal kitten and when he plays he sometimes gets a bit too excited and ends up savaging me leaving me covered in bites and scratches. This is not playing - he really attacks me!!!!
He is on the whole a very affectionate and cuddly kitten and only does this when he gets too carried away playing.
He is being castrated in 3 weeks time so hope he will then calm down - has any-one any similar experiences (of kittens, not being castrated!!!)

My daughter's cat is pregnant again but she has been told that she has to wait 6 months after the first litter before the cat can be spayed. The trouble is, at less than 6 months since her last litter, the cat is up the duff again! Apart from keeping her in for 6 months (very difficult) what can my daughter do?

I used to tell my brother and believe myself in the end. that i went down the swingball hole in the garden in the middle of the night. and had teapartys with talking animals. The leader was a hedgehog called hedgy. and he wore a pink frilly apron. Looking back he must have been a transvestite.

The place I work has 4. Very annoying! How do you keep them quiet? Don't tell me to set them free or kill them.

I have two beautiful kittens and they are about a week old. I have two questions about them.

First, I was wondering for how long do they need milking from their mother and when I'm allowed to give them some other food, too.

Second, I've heard that people shouldn't touch kittens for some time because if they do, their mother will feel that and she'll abandon them. Is that true? If it is, for how long I'm not supposed to touch them?

Thanks in advance!
